What other type of players did Gruden tell you he wanted? I think Gruden will want Rex to start, he likes QB's that have the ability to throw 3+ ints in a game. lol

First, Jay Gruden is interviewing with the Redskins on Wednesday (just to get that out of the way)

Second, Mike Brown is changing his story up it seems because in 2011 the guy he was pushing for was Ryan Mallett, not Kaepernick

Third, Jon Gruden is the one who really likes Cousins. Not Jay

Well being able to "throw" isn't about being a good QB. My concern is that because RG3 is not "pro ready" he'll be impatient and want a guy that fits his system better. Just something to look out for. I'm sure Jay and Jon share opinions.

Yeah something tells me he's eager to get away from that type.
Right, but the question is: Will Gruden have RG3 on a short leash? Will he look to bring in someone more his "type" as a challenger to RG3?

I just want someone (here again, Bevell) who is going to come in embracing what we have and already having a system in place to take advantage of our talent.

I think we're getting a little ahead of things. Gruden hasn't even interviewed, and we really don't know what his plan would be.

I can say this though, I'm fairly certain a big part of the interview process involves what the plan is going to be to develop Griffin and get the most out of him.

I just hope we don't hire him

I think we will be greatly disappointed if we hire Bevell. He went from fired in 2011 to our franchise savior as a coach in 2014? I really don't get the fascination with him.

How about Jimbo Fisher? He's a great HC, and Snyder needs to give him an offer he won't refuse. Florida State has a good offense led by a great quarterback, and a great defense. Fisher is good with quarterbacks, has won two national championships, and is fairly young.

With all of the Tampa Bay connections still here it's pretty obvious. I think it comes down to whether or not he wants to come coach this soap opera.

No way that would happen

Bevell was a fall guy for Frasier. You see how long he was out of work, right?

He was let go after the Childress season by Frazier. I think he's a decent coordinator but nothing about him screams head coach to me.

You are right, maybe I didn't make my position clear. Frasier came in as the interim, went 3-3, and as part of his staying on full time he replaced Bevell with Musgrave. New coaches want their own guy a lot of the time, and I think that was the case here.

I heard Jaws say that the Grudens and Bruce Allen are good friends which really makes me think it will happen.
