He and Morrocco Brown will lead the front office basically. That's what I got from that.

Can we deem RG3 a "Coach Killer"? I really like the guy but I'm starting to see how he really is. Stubborn and doesn't like to be told what to do.
Surprise! RG3 is actually the owner and fired Shanahan himself. You know, with all that pull RG3 has and that the entire Redskins locker room and organization is a-okay with. Because if you don't publicly endorse your old shitty HC, you must obviously want his head on a stake.

Cute. I look at it this way. Shannahan maybe done in DC, but he'll never have to pay for a beer in St Louis in appreciation for delivering the Rams the #2 overall pick in the draft.

And if the next HC does not do better than say 6-10 in 2014, they'll get another top 10 pick and Shannahan gets the key to the city.

No, you're wrong. The number 2 overall pick in the '14 draft completes the trade.

One thing Ill take away from this season is the fact Skins knocked out Romo for the season effectively knocking them out the playoffs for a second year in a row

I would definitely make a point to at least have a CLUE what you are speaking about if you are going to needle. I will say it was fun watching Orton toss that Romo-esque pick last night though. Different QB, same result.

Re: It's official: Shanahan fired

It's become clear to me, and I think to a lot of people, that Shanahan was largely the beneficiary of coaching John Elway in his prime. If it wasn't for that he would have never been as successful as he was. I don't see him finding another job now.

"And the only thing Shanahan has to show for it, is a broken QB with dreadlocks."

Re: It's official: Shanahan fired

The Redskins job is a desirable HC job insofar as getting a fat paycheck. I would pick any job over the Skins, well, maybe not the Raiders job.

I was listening to 980 an hour ago and Kevin, and Tom where discussing Kirk Cousins interview about the coaching change. In the interview Kirk mentioned Roberts name as part of the coach hiring committee. I sure hope that isn't the case..

Re: It's official: Shanahan fired

raiders, bills, lions, dolphins, bucs, cardinals, redskins = teams that have sucked for decades now.

I think lions fans are most heart broken. you have the best offensive weapon in c johnson, a highly drafted qb in stafford and an absolute beast in suh .... yet they still cant put it together. not to mention that city really needs something good to happen to them.... ouch. but i guess they are in the best position to break out of the loser pack i listed above.
