Good secondary led by Jarius Byrd.
You forgot Mark Anderson and DB's Terrence McGee, Leodis McKelvin and the rookie Stephon Gilmore. Their defense is very capable of being a top 10 defense this year.

Didn't forget them, just got lazy and didn't feel like listing the whole roster.

McGee is hurt I think.

I hate to bring this up, but every year the first preseason game some big name starter gets hurt...anyone want to guess who that guy may be?

Injuries happen to QBs and to the Oline, thats just the way it is. And if the oline is abysmal right now it will probably be just as bad or worse during certain parts of the season. But since the preseason dosnt mean anything we could go "extra vanilla" early in the game while the Bill's defensive starters are on the field with a focus on protecting RGIII. Theres always something to practice even if we play it cautiously. If we do that id like to see RIII and the oline starters stay in later into the game as the defensive talent drops off.
I agree. He needs to play and play a lot.

Is NFL.com still going to do that thing where you can stream preseason games live for like $20. The NFL needs my money.

Your memory serves you well; It is $19.99. On a side note, if you are considered "in market" or intend to watch a nationally televised game, be aware that blackouts do apply, and you can't watch anything until after the game is over. Learned that the hard way when I tried to watch the HOF game on Sunday...

Re: Gameplan vs Bills:Vanilla or Butter Pecan?

I expect traditional Shanahan stretch-zone boot/swap with a few 'new' formations thrown in there on favorable down and distance like 2nd down and less then 7 yards.

The 'new' stuff: pistol formation designed (non-zone read) RB inside/outside zone, traditional shotgun formation (non-zone read) designed RB inside/outside zone.

Jeez, I hope we look good tonight.
I've been shooting my mouth off at work about RGIII all day.

I think we'll see RG3 throw mostly high % passes. Nothing crazy or anything that will expose him to a pass rush.

If you don't live in the Buffalo or DC area like me, the NFL Network is doing live lookins tonight starting at 7:30pm Est. Also the NFL Network is rebroadcasting the game tomorrow afternoon at 4pm-7pm Est.

I'll be recording the game tomorrow to watch when I get home from work and probably just tuning in on my laptop while watching the NFL Network to at least get the play by plays from the "Game Center" on NFL.COM.
