Re: 2012 redskins
Yeah we moved with them in 2008 and they took Baker
I'm not 100% sure of his contract status but I know Atlanta may be moving on without him and if they do Redskins would be a team he's interested in

Re: 2012 redskins
I think that Eddie Royal is a free agent and I would think Shannahan will go all out to sign him. He should come cheap, due to the fact that he is playing in a run all the time offense and his stats suck since Shannahan left. Also, he could take return duties and we would not be wasting a roster spot on a kick returner. I also like the thought of signing Michael Bush.

Re: 2012 redskins
You would think Baker could be a good right tackle, but he probably stays in Atlanta unless they find a better answer.

Re: 2012 redskins
why would we want him and where would he play? I wouldnt consider him an upgrade over the 2 tackles we have.

I don't know if we'd want him

Re: 2012 redskins
He was supposed to be the Redskins pick, vinny traded it for 3 2nd rounders. I would sign him.

Re: 2012 redskins
Isn't Sam Baker more of a grinder type OT? Does he move well enough for the zone scheme? Like GT said, move him inside maybe.

Re: 2012 redskins
Landry is slowly becoming Bob Sanders

Re: 2012 redskins
O’Halloran— I’ll throw out a curveball to wrap this up – Brian Orakpo. A third-year player, he is second on the Redskins with six sacks, but he’s no longer the team’s best outside linebacker (that goes to rookie Ryan Kerrigan). Nonetheless, he’s the rare asset and if the Redskins want to get better, they could float him on the trade market.
I don't get statements like this...... If you trade Rack...who the hell replaces him with his kind of talent to make this type deal work profitably for the Skins?

Re: 2012 redskins
Only difference is, Bob Sanders made plays on the field. Landry never reads the qb's eyes and makes plays on the ball, and when he sees an opportunity to lay the wood, he tries to lay the wood, only to watch the offensive player bounce off him and keep going for another nice chunk of yards.

Re: 2012 redskins
You guys are to brutal. Landry has his flaws, but he's still an exciting player on our team and to boo him out of Washington is dumb.
Yes, he's missed tackles.. Those things happen, he's given up plays... Those things happen. It's not just one man playing against boys. It's a field of the worlds best athletes playing against each other. Bob Sanders Sean Taylor Ed Reed Brian Dawkins John Lynch Steve Atwater All of them had made great plays, and I can throw out just as many bad plays as well.. It happens.. Landry is our best Safety right now, and at a position were we can't seem to fill with anything since our boy #21 passed away. We should keep the stable pieces in place.

And don't sit there and act like he didn't just do exactly what I said above last week in Seattle. He tried to lay the wood and that guy that plays for Seattle just bounced off him and gained an additional 10 yards. And that's not the first time that's happened. Add in the fact that he doesn't have a pick this season and you can say all you want about his impact, but the facts are showing it's just not there this season. Atogwe has been underwhelming too and that only magnifies the problem. All that said, do I want him back next season? If I ran the team, I'd tell him to go do whatever he needs to do to be healthy next season, I'd give him a one year deal, and I'd let him know he's got one more chance to show this team he can be an elite player. Because we all know he will want to be paid like an elite player, but I'm not seeing the production to match it so far.
