Here's one example of that cautious backlash, from Renegade7 at ExtremeSkins:

I'm still standing by my "3-year mercy grace period" I promised Allen and Shanny, but I can't lie, I'm agitated right now. I understand we don't want to overpay people, but it's an uncapped year AND WE STILL WON'T BUDGE AT ALL!? I understand this method of maddness works for some people, but how often does this work for a 4-12 football that doesn't want to be 4-12 anymore?

And another, from diehardskins2982 at TheWarpath.net:

Like a person with a powerful weapon scared to use, is the new Front Office Gun shy? Has Bruce Allen and Shanny been overly patient or doing the right thing in the uncapped year?
i like how diehards comment is more of a reasonable statement of facts rather than a ruh-tarded statment of how to panic and and spend big in fa to improve a bad team, extreme skins is so bush league

Bigger forums tend to have more people. More people=more fools. That ES has more dummies because of that doesn't justify the snobbery sometimes prevalent here.

I probably come across that way at times. I really don't mean to and I'd like to apologize. I'd like to...but my song inspiring good looks and Stephen Hawking like intellect prevent me from doing so.

I like noticing parallels. It's just like the Pojo.com forums and Janime forums. Similar dynamic.

We're not snobs, we're just smarter, cooler, and better looking than those at ES.

I want to say something bad about them but they already took the liberty of posting my thoughts on their website. Oh yeah Tryfuhl, BHA, and Matty were also quoted but I was honored with the first post which led to a lurking accusation (which is obviously true, but it's kind of funny to see the pot calling the kettle black). I don't think they realized all those guest were really just regular fans, not media insiders.

Anyway Sammy, you're probably next. I used to have a happy go lucky life but then I got called out on ES and since then my life has sucked. My local postal workers can't even look me in the eye anymore and Mike Florio no longer accepts the inside information I send him from ES. Your life is about to take a turn for the worse. Hopefully you have life insurance.
