Re: Updated: Redskins Release Marcus Washington
He's even listed higher on the official website at 250 lbs but regardless anywhere in the range of 240 to 250 puts him in a heavier category for LB... dude is no featherweight just a little short. Hopefully Blades is the next Fletcher and his height means diddly.

LOL Fincher looks like the meanest mofo on the roster... maybe we should stick him out there w/o a helmet and see what happens.

Re: Updated: Redskins Release Marcus Washington
Thanks Matty, I thought Parcells wanted him to try it, but I didnt know for sure if he did. I asked because I saw a post were I believe Smoot suggested maybe playing him OLB. I had heard he was practicing OLB in the 3-4 in Miami.
Anyway, better stop talking JT on a M. Washington thread before 53fan starts sending me hate mail |

Little known story about Fincher, back in college after a game against WVU he and Adam Jones (yes that one) were jawing a bit, mainly Jones was talking smack and he spit at Fincher and with one punch Fincher knocked him out cold.

Re: Updated: Redskins Release Marcus Washington
JT also played weakside LB for some period of time in his college years at Akron.
If they where to keep JT this could be a good fit for the team/JT to be able to move around from LB to DE. It would seem if they choose to keep Jason this could be a successful move for the team and a healthy JT to be so versatile in our Defensive scheme. I would have to think JT would rather not end his career on last season's note. It's all about the Benjamin's, and do the Skins want to pay that much to keep him or will he take a cut IMO. I for the record believe a healthy JT can be an effective part of our D, he had a injury riddled season last year. Like never before in his career.

Re: Updated: Redskins Release Marcus Washington
I say bring JT back another year. I believe hearing reports at the time of his injury that if not treated soon enough, he could have DIED! Couple this with the fact that his production fell off because he was asked to play out of position and said as much on the Junkies radio show. I get the feeling that Blache never wanted Taylor, but is more than willing to work with the guy. JT is obviously someone whit a lot of dignity and I could never imagine an athletic specimen and a player of his caliber ever mailing it in.

Re: Updated: Redskins Release Marcus Washington
I remember how solid Fincher looked last year in pre-season and he only got a chance to play in a very limited role in a couple games, would like to see more. I'm glad this kid was kept around.
He could have a really good upside, young, decent size, plays fast, 4/5 years in the league. I look forward to seeing more of this guy on the field for the Skins.
