Alot has been posted about losing Campbell,Fletcher,Samuels,Landry,Portis. If Campbell went down and Brennan was our guy,Zorn would adjust his plan to be more run attack(Portis). If Fletcher was gone Blades could do a admirable fill-in job.Samuels loss would be hard but i think the line could hold up,the problem last year is gone(Jansen).Landry would be replaced by Moore which has shown flashes.Portis is the heart of the offense and the back-up is Betts, but the leadership, pass blocking, blocking down field, hard nose running is the little things that keeps the QB on his feet.Alot might say Moss but i think Thomas is prepared to step up.Cooley would be a big loss also but there is another lurking.Portis is the obvious choice.

We don't need Portis. We have Mason.

I just thought that we should reflect on this thread, because most of us said Chris Samuels was the one player we could not afford to lose and we lost him probably forever.

The injuries were ri-goddamn-diculous this year.

10 different OL combos and 4 different starting RBs. Yup, sounds like 4-12 to me. Say what you will about schemes, play calling, etc., when you have the extent of injuries that we did, you're just not going to win many games.
