You're heading down a dangerous road when you declare the most vocal people in an argument the winner.
Being offended has all the power in this country now. If you have more than 10% of people on the side of being offended, then the other 80% - 90% can go fuck themselves. Being offended has all the power.

When this WaPo story drops we may have a real reason to be embarrassed to wear Skins gear.

It doesn't even require 10%...2-3% can overrule the majority (see homosexual movement). YOU MUST BAKE THE CAKE!

Yeah SD but you gotta be able to determine if it is something that is genuinely hurtful. Most people do not claim hurt feelings because of some other reason. Lol. They are genuinely troubled. Of that 90 percent that seemingly doesn’t care - probably 60 percent is just silent. It doesn’t mean that they don’t care. Usually the 30 percent that are the ones waving their flag are the ones that have an agenda driven by money or their own interests that in their minds outweigh someone’s feelings. I just do not buy into the mentality that “10” percent of a group of people do not matter, and honestly what is the harm of changing names, statues, or shit like that? Nobody’s civil liberties are being stripped. Quite the contrary- everyones civil liberties are being looked out for.

Re: Will You Still Wear Your Skins Gear After?

Many will wear their old Redskins gear out of spite. But it will be harder and harder to get. The new WASH PO story just brought this franchise to a new low. Unfortunately, that sort of sexist sub-culture will be associated with the Redskins label.

I see the new Red Wolves name as a new start, under the new leadership of Rivera. Hopefully, Snyder will give an apology to the fans. But I doubt it - billionaires do not concern themselves with the feelings of the sheep.

In the beginning many will wear Redskins gear. But as time goes on, the number will decrease as the Red Wolves name gains traction. Finally, only the “old timers” will wear old Redskins stuff. I think picking a cool name like Red Wolves and the Wash Po scandal will accelerate the transition to the new name.

Personally, I was going to wear my Redskins stuff until it wore out. NOW, with this new scandal, I will buy my new McLaurin or Young shirt if I like the new logo (Red Wolves).

The way things are going I may have to burn my Redskins shit so I won't feel dirty if I slip up and wear it.

To be honest with you, I would not blame you. I'm so over this team.

My thought process is "I don't want to quit on them" But that is like a shitty relationship that you realistically know things wont get better but you are staying hopeful for a change.... Once I purchase another teams shirt/hoodie or whatever , it would be like a man or woman dating someone new... I won't look back either.

Matty, open up a Classifieds section. Not kidding! If some members want to sell their merch to other Redskins fans, it's better than burning it.

Think I'll be packing away the Skins stuff for a while. Why would anyone want to associate with being a fan of this garbage team?
