Cheers - it's all love in here. We can fight all day about politics but come football Sunday we're all in the same boat.

The democratic party (not every individual democratic voter) is really trying to get those 2 guaranteed senate seats forever, real quick like.

Manchin is an amazing republican lol.

I thought this was pretty unbelievable

Former federal ethics chief blasts Ted Cruz's message to 'woke' corporations as 'openly corrupt'

Cruz basically thought he was owning the libs here, but totally owned himself instead.

https://www.washingtonpost.com/polit...-legislatures/

Gerrymandering has gotta be one of the most underreported evils of our time. When one party can redraw districts to ensure they remain in power the citizens have already lost.

I find it ironic the majority of states that have embraced the independent redistricting commissions that ensure gerrymandering is free from bias also happen to be Democratic controlled states.

I support non-partisan or if need be bi-partisan commissions to remove all gerrymandered districts. It is antithetical to our republic's health.

Re: Fresh Start Political Thread

Definitely would grab some crabs too G-1!

CRed-It has always bothered me how bad the district lines look in Maryland. Why does a large county like PG have only two reps but Baltimore City with 300,000 less people have three? Carroll county has two but comparable in size Harford county only has one. Of course the county that holds the state capital has four congressional reps have to make sure they are overrepresented in congress. It is pretty frusterating.

Re: Fresh Start Political Thread

Balt City may have lost a rep and one of their reps is a hybrid city/balt county area .... i think this is right, didnt look it up

35 States have gerrymandering .. 2 are democrat.

Just a matter of time .. democrat numbers just increase, republicans flat line and are older and becoming more and more localized.

Re: Fresh Start Political Thread

All three of their reps are split amongst neighboring counties but that means a city of under 600,000 has three people advocating for federal funds. To me it just doesn't make sense.
