Re: Our New Head Coach - Dan Quinn

I think there are a lot of assumptions being made that the hiring authority actually had a "top option" going into this. I think they had "options", and those options were narrowed down as they had interviews. They themselves may had some expectations going into interviews, that didn't come to fruition.

Bottom line is, from the get go Peters and Harris said they were not looking for offense or defense; they were looking for a leader. Out of the nine coaches they interviewed at least once, it appears to me that they got one of, if not the best, leader of the group - and someone who is very well respected in the league, and someone who has been to the dance.

That's good enough for me, and I am the one who said "Love it".

Re: Our New Head Coach - Dan Quinn

To me the process could have been done to perfection based on what they set out to do, I still don't like the hire. Dan Quinn was my least favorite option out of all of the names that popped up. No one knows the process, but we all had preferred end-results we wanted.

It's the definite of "blah" to me. But oh well, it is what it is. Not like I'm switching teams or not watching every game. If I could watch under Snyder and {insert any HC we had here}, I can certainly watch under a Harris/Peters/Quinn combo.

Please pick a young O.C.

Looks like we already have our DC:

Grant Paulsen
@granthpaulsen

The Commanders continue to gut the Cowboys' beloved defensive staff.

Cowboys secondary and defensive passing game coordinator Joe Whitt Jr. is reportedly being named the Commanders' defensive coordinator under Dan Quinn, via

The secondary was impressive…the talent seemed really coached up. This is a good move.

Still, Quinn was really disappointing versus running teams and was different when they didn’t play with the lead.

Also, LaFleur ran circles around him and embarrassed him on national tv. It was a thrashing.

The Commanders got Dan Quinn. Now they need a top offensive mind.

Agree with Jamf comment… Barry Svrluga does as well. The OC now is more important than Quinn hire.

I mentioned that yesterday. One of the interview questions was, who is going to be your OC. I hope they told him if you want the job hire someone else. Shit!! They should call Jay Gruden!!
