These are clearly Vinny Cerrato decisions. I wouldn't have the Redskins job underneath him for anything. Good luck Coach.

J-Dawg
You assume Zorn had final say. This is Cerrato's team now. We can blame him.

What a loser.

Frost did outplay Brooks slightly this preseason, but in order to beat him out I think Frost needed to be lights out and Brooks a complete joke. Instead it was a close race and youth and potential won out.

If youth and potential counted for anything, we wouldn't have had to suffer all this losing for so many years.

Frost can kiss my ass!!!! He is lucky that he had a job in the NFL for one game let alone three seasons. That is all.

No it isn't. I think we are going to beat the Giants good on Thursday.

His name is Derrick "Inconsistency" Frost. He played well in the preseason but imo that was only because he felt he had to to keep his job. If thats what it takes for him to play at a high level then F him.

See ya.

Re: Official Cut Day Discussion Thread

I dont know how we could afford to cut Mann AND Mcmullen. We only have 5 wr, and Kelly is injured. How are we going to spread the field?

I understand that but right now he can't help us beat NY so put him on PUP. He is of no use right now.

It was a close competition, but Frosty has shown inconsistency in games, Brooks is the unknown. Also, Frost had nice yardage but Brooks had the better hang time. He was dealt with dishonestly?? Please. If I am a vet with demonstrated inconsistency, I know the only way I stick is to bury the rookie.
I don't have a problem getting rid of Frost but some of what he said is very true.

Any possibility that they might be using Wilson as a LB? or any of the DEs we have? I was curious about that. Also I'm glad Fincher made it. I hope he plays with the same enthusiasm he did during the Jax game.
So you are saying that we did the right thing keeping him just because he was a 4th round pick? You can't be serious. IMO its better we cut him and use that spot on someone else than have him be a liability on Defense.

Well, that would be unbelievable if Cerrato had nothing to do with the final roster. I would say he has some hand in the decision as to who gets cut and who makes it. So naturally his picks make the team.

So you want to put Thomas on PUP even though he's not injured and I doubt the league would let that fly to start with, lose him until week 6, and then try to continue to develop his progress as a rookie at that time? He's already behind, and you want to put him further behind?

Sorry but that just makes no sense.

Shame that Mason got cut but I think it was a case that there just wasn't room for him.
Glad that Brooks is our punter. He will have his ups and downs, but I think overall he will be more consistent than Frost.
