But with his strong resume the “right” color might not have hurt. I think it is part of it. Unfortunately.

Would be cool if Bieniemy becomes a great HC somewhere after getting his 1st chance to call plays full-time here.

We don't often get stuff to be proud of around here. That would be something.

I haven't listened to his press conference yet, but I trust your opinions. Sounds like nothing but positives to take away from it.

Them both leaving, and I'd throw O'Connell in there too, were embarrassments to our franchise. We let them all leave when we could have promoted them.

Bieniemy actually received a promotion to come here.

presser to me was just all coach speak, not that it really matters. He didn't bomb it, but I don't think it's intellectually honest to say he'd go from a yearly SB contender to a bit of a garbage fire because he wanted a challenge (it's because no one wanted him as their HC, and reid was looking to give OC back to nagy. I guess, what is he supposed to say? "It wasn't my time, but I'm here now and committeed to this team" maybe?). If the players buy-in and we can get over 20 points a game, great. We'll have to wait to see though.

It was almost like Reid couldn't wait to get EB out the door and promote Nagy. Wondering if Reid called up Ron and asked for a favor.

part of the coaching circle is that you come in, you work hard, and you get rewarded, which means promotion to OC/DC and eventually a HC gig. If someone sticks around too long, it kind of gums that up.

I do think EB is the best guy we could get, and he's probably better than turner, but I'm also definitely in the don't tell me, show me camp (and he'll get his chance).
