No one on the interwebs will know the 100% truth for quite some time (if ever). But I have a hard time believing this is how Harris/Peters was hoping this process would play out.

I guess some team has to be last to have a HC. But, I hope this process doesn't get extended more than a couple more days.

Re: Potential GM/HC/Coaches Thread

Just want EB off any list of possibilities. Please.

And overall I think they were a victim of timing. Which they had so much of... but Peter's came in a little late and coaches were already flying off the board... I hope it's an out the box, inspired and innovative type of hire.

Can't believe we didn't at least interview Harbaugh

I'm with you on that, and I don't see this playing out past Friday for sure.

That feels to Snyder-ee. I don't see that happening. I think it's Weaver, Glenn, Quinn, or the great unknown that no one saw coming.

Re: Potential GM/HC/Coaches Thread

For the Record I never said who I wanted as coach and who I want makes no difference anyways I'm just a fan having fun on a forum .. but since it was brought up It's not even about who they ultimately hire it's about the way it's gone down ..allready on this forum we have some that think it's all part of the Plan and no big deal and others who think Harris and Company got caught totally off guard and are scrambling to right the ship .. truth is it's probably somewhere in the middle.. I don't fault anyone for there thoughts .. I'm in the camp of they got caught off guard and hopefully they make the right pick .. we won't even know that until next year when season starts and we will all watch it unfold good or bad!

Re: Potential GM/HC/Coaches Thread

I’m getting Jim Zorn hiring vibes.

We aren’t getting our guy. They might settle for EB like they did with Zorn.

At this point why not wait till after SB and interview San Fran and KC candidates.. wouldn't that be something , spin it as that was the plan all along 😀

How would you feel if Dan Quinn hires Chip Kelly as his OC?

At least a headset and a clipboard

I think you know it is all in jest. Using animals for human entertainment is pretty high on my disgust factor.

I just can't believe this new group didn't have some sort of clue that Johnson was not the guy ( for whatever reason) I was never a fan of his anyways and it just bothers me this happened.. My bet is Harris and company are furious at what he did and now damage control is in effect .. I'm more mad at them letting that "little Johnson" play them . F him and the lions
I don't think there is any doubt they were blindsided by Campbell's decision, I do believe he was their first choice and they are pissed. But if a guy consults with his wife and decides to stay, for now, where he is happy and has a chance to win a ring or if a coach goes to Seattle and sees their roster, facility and stadium and choses that over the mess here in Ashburn and Raljon I can't put that on the Commanders organization.

I get that they are falling behind with regard to filing out the staff. But at this point they are the only team standing so why rush to make the fans feel better?

Re: Potential GM/HC/Coaches Thread

Keim seems positive that the team wasn't going to make a final decision before Thursday or Friday anyway so I think this is still within the plan that that Peters and Harris have. I am concerned about filling out the staff but It wouldn't shock me if we poached from the 49ers after the SB specifically.
