Re: What REALLY grinds your gears?

You know when youre on google theres a black bar on top of the screen that provides links to things like Maps, News, Gmail, Youtube and other stuff?

Well it really grinds my gears when i search something, like redskins for example, then after viewing my search results i click on the "News" link on that top black bar and it blanks out my search. I want to see news on redskins or whatever i search, not start all over from scratch.

Sure i know you guys are saying well you have the option to click on the News link in the left box that appears during search results and then you can see news results pertaining to your redskins search. Well its not the same. Not even close.

First off, its more ergonomic to click on the top section to get news results on your search. Its flat out cumbersome to go all the way to the left of the page after you search to view news relating to your search.

Second off, many/most of the links in the top black bar retain the search term for what you searched for initially. If i click on pictures or maps im not forced to start over. So why is it that my search experience is ruined when looking for relevent news?

Third off, i dont think this was always the case, and the only thing i hate more than hope is change. Im forgetfull at times so when i click on news with the expectation that its gonna be on what i was searching i really get pissed off that google wants me to start all over. Sometimes i just say f it and turn off the internet.

Idk about that. I'm at work right now and it feels like a regular day to me. If there's work to be done, do it. Think of it like this, the more work you do today, means the less work you have to do tomorrow, or as it applies here, next week.

You work at a car dealership it should be your busiest weekend of the year.

That part that grinds me is it is someone's work that is off today. My work is caught up theirs is not.

I work in parts, the busiest weekend of the year is the weekend where a lot of accidents or breakdowns happen so we sell more parts.

Men who give in to the wives and get minivans. My neighbor, a Giants fan, just got neutered when he traded his BMW in for a Honda Odyssey...ugly one. His wife already has an SUV too!

They have just two kids too, it's the common wife argument..."but what if someone else wants to come along!?"

Really, how often does that happen? And why can't other people drive themselves?

The new Honda Odyssey is probably one of the ugliest cars/vans ever made. It is horrible.

Once when I went to get some parts for my 4Runner me and the boy sat in a fully loaded Toyota Sienna; I mean it was nice. I felt like I was in my living room. I could never bring myself to get one though.

You are partially right, I used to be in sales as of last year. I'm glad I got out of there, it's much better back in parts.

Re: What REALLY grinds your gears?

I thought the Odyssey commercial was funny...

I keep telling my wife that if we ever have kids, a full size 4x4 van will be her ride...

I'll second that, and I hate that commercial for it too, where they compare it to the cougar/jaguar/w.e. that animal is, like a minivan is some kind of badass. If I'm thinking sleek cars that compare to an animal like that, I'm thinking sports car. Minivans conjure up images of dudes giving into their wives and buying a practical car that all 3 or more of their kids can ride in.

EDIT: Cpayne with the vid. GJ.

Minivan drivers AND people who can't park, which are often the same person.

Re: What REALLY grinds your gears?

How long does it take to eat a bag of potato chips? All freaking day apparently as I'm learning from the woman who sits near me. The constant crunching is driving me insane.
