Re: The Sam Howell Thread
We aren’t getting a top 5 pick … we will screw that up and beat the Jets 😀
1-Bears via panthers 1-11 lock number 1 2-Pats 2-10 Pitt,kc,den,buf,jets lock number 2 3-Cards 3-10 bye,49ers,bears,phi,sea. 4-13 4-Washington 4-9 bye,rams,jets,49ers,dall 5-12 5-bears4-8 det,cle,arz, atl,GB 5-12 6-giants 4-8 GB,NO,Phi,Rams,Phi. 4-13 7-jets 4-8 Hou,Mia,wash,den,NE 4-13 This is my prediction we get at best 7th pick if we beat Jets in a meaningless game .. we can’t even win at losing 😀😀 |

Re: The Sam Howell Thread
Sam needs a better OC, a better scheme and a better line. I think a better OC will get guys open more. This gun drop back stuff isn't good for us.
Meanwhile I watch Kyle getting his guys open. McCaffrey catches passes downfield. Why isn't Gibson doing that? 🤔 Purdy running boots for a td pass. Very creative stuff by Kyle and also McDaniel. Sam just doesn't have that right now. Look what happened to Tua when Flores got fired. He got w/ the right guy and the rest is history. I still think Sam is the guy. He has been dealt a bad hand. |

Re: The Sam Howell Thread
He seriously sucks really bad. Whenever he gets in short yardage he calls a stupid ass shotgun play that never works. He always has BR running sideways. I just don't like that, I hate his run calls. Has he called one bootleg for Sam? His playaction is horrible and it is mostly out of gun which fools no one.
Do not want him here. Turner was better w/ a worse QB. Idk.. I just see all these guys that use to work here having success and we just can't seem to get it right. Ever. |

Re: The Sam Howell Thread
Put Sam with a lot of other OCs with a better grasp on philosophy and game plan and he would be just fine or better. I have zero confidence in EB and I think the claims of.him making sam the 5th rounder better are more of a praise to howell than anything eb. The guy couldn't call an offense if he had it's number saved in his fucking phone.
I'm done with him. Please go coach college dude. Done. Done with the 3&1 / 4&1 shotgun bullshit. Done with the 80% of the game shotgun bullshit. Done with him not calling plays for #17 bullshit. Done with him not running the ball fucking bullshit. Done... Done... done... Done Done Done bullshit.

Re: The Sam Howell Thread
I agree with this except for 2 coaches - I think it's worth for the new regime to consider retaining Jennifer King and Tavita Pritchard. Jennifer has done a pretty good job with our RBs. It seems like Tavita is doing a good job with Howell so far.

Re: The Sam Howell Thread
there is something in SH worth pursing; I just hate for us to pass on a QB in the draft that the new regime likes; I say draft him and have SH battle it out with the new guy; sign the best man standing at the end

Re: The Sam Howell Thread
Yeah, when you look at the upcoming QB draft class along with a high draft pick…QB needs to be top of mind.

Re: The Sam Howell Thread
I am not going to be upset if they go QB or roll with Sam either way it is a win as far as I am concerned. My personal preference is if they feel a draft QB is going to be the guy going forward is to try to flip Sam for draft pick(s) if the price is right. No need to have a QB controversy also.
