Re: The official 2008 draft discussion thread
Higher rated by who? They've put together their draft board. If every team just cribbed off Kiper and McShay then they wouldn't need to spend any money on scouting.

Re: The official 2008 draft discussion thread
We had the 4th pick in the 4th round, now the Titans have it.
I assume we traded it to them.

Scouting Report: Chad Rinehart, OT, Northern Iowa
By Staff Report | February 18th, 2008 Chad Rinehart is a Division I-AA player and maybe one of the best at his position. The senior from Northern Iowa had as many scouts at his playoffs games, if not more, than anyone else at his position has had to see them. He is the real deal and he will be playing in the fall on Sunday. He uses angles as well as anyone in the draft. He knows the defenses and can feel the pressure coming from blitzes. Scouting Report Pros: He has been a team leader, making sure his job and everyone else’s is getting done. Cons: The competition is not the same as he will see now; that can make some teams leery. Overall: I see his name being called in the last round of the first day or the first of the second day.

Quote:
The Skins traded there 4th round pick to the titans for their 4th and 5th rounders, I believe. So that would mean one extra pick today instead of 6, we now have 7 picks on day two.

Re: The official 2008 draft discussion thread
No. But then again a lot of guys leave early. Honestly I would've taken Manningham or Sweed cause of the production over a period of time.

Re: The official 2008 draft discussion thread
Thats awesome. Well they better pick for need and not value at this point. I'll take a safety or corner, but c'mon let go with DE!

Re: The official 2008 draft discussion thread
Trade details as per JLC:
Skins send the 103rd pick to Tennessee for the 124th and 157th picks. Skins did not previously have a 5th round pick, so now they get one. Guessing they may target a a QB there, now that they have that pick. Gotta think they look DL with the 4th round pick and there's some good ones still on the board. |

Re: The official 2008 draft discussion thread
1st: Agreed as to the "higher rated by who" comment. This guy looks versatile and appears to have a great attitude. His flaws seem mainly in technique but: a) those can be cured under Buges; and b) he seems to have the personality that wants to improve.
2nd: Good move on picking up the extra 5th.
