Re: Trent Williams holding out for new deal

Well if true, it obviously will be great news for the offense.

I'm little bit turned off by this whole thing though, there must something more to it than we know. I just hope Williams and Redskins will move forward together for next few years. It's not easy to replace Williams and we already messed up the first time we tried to address it with Christian...

Re: Trent Williams holding out for new deal

Is it possible that now that the Texans and Patriots are no longer likely landing points that Trent is back tracking... Those were not only likely suitors, they were probably the places he'd be most interested in going to.

What's likely is that he's beginning to back track because he was expecting to be traded earlier but now he knows he has already missed on one game check and hates the idea of missing on another...

If TW starts, I'll bump up the wins projections by 2.
Donald Penn is a great backup.

Re: Trent Williams holding out for new deal

With the preferable suitors gone / out, and the likelihood of staying put more clear, it would seem reporting for duty makes the most sense.

Also, I would imagine the pressure from his agent to report back is starting to increase as he very well may be missing out on some commission checks.

Even as a stud LT, they ain't going to win you 2 games just being in the line up.

Being forced to start Christian when/if Penn breaks down would start costing the team games and Possibly QBs similar to our situation last year.

Let’s avoid another Shawn Lauvao situation if we can.

Agreed.

Not sure if one player's presence can lock 2 more wins, but the absence of a solid LT can lock 2 more losses for sure.

Id say a hof lt keeping your quarterback upright could certainly make a 2 game difference. That being said this is based on Bruce Allen telling him he would fire people for him? Lol. If I were Trent I would have said “you”.

Interesting line from DHall on this pod: Bruce told me he asked Trent “tell me who to fire and I’ll fire them”. Trent’s response “Man, I don’t want to cost nobody their job. I don’t want to put anybody’s livelihood in my hands” https://twitter.com/theathleticdc/st...24454606561282

#BREAKING: @DeAngeloHall23 tells @ErinHawksworth on 'Hail to the Podcast' that Trent Williams could return to the Redskins 'sooner rather than later.'

If this is true, and that is a big if, I think that is sad. It goes to show you just how much of a total snake Allen is. What total pond scum he is...

How, exactly does this make Allen a snake?
