^^ this was flagged for taunting last week. Taunting is going to get renewed focus it seems this year. be prepared, any turning to face an opponent after a play will be under the microscope. |

Re: Around the NFL: NFL Offseason
This is a good read on top NFL defenses (WFT 6th):
https://www.nfl.com/news/nfl-s-top-n...oncos-have-imm We really need Davis and Collins to have great seasons. We know what we have in the front 4. Corners need to play well also. Last edited by WCommandersfan99; 08-18-2021 at 09:53 AM. |

Seattle and Jamal Adams strike extension:
https://www.nfl.com/news/seahawks-ja...lion-extension Article says Landon Collins only safety to have received more guaranteed money. Think he's due here for WFT lol? |

Re: Around the NFL: NFL Offseason

Washington Football Team 2020 RANKINGS · Points: 4th | Yards: 2nd I'm obsessed with Chase Young. He was great in Year 1 -- earning Defensive Rookie of the Year honors with 7.5 sacks and a host of splash plays -- but his 2021 campaign is going to be next level. Washington invested first-round picks on the D-line in four straight drafts, and now the Football Team is reaping the benefits, perhaps boasting the best defensive front in football. So why is the WFT defense only ranked sixth on this list? Well, the back seven isn't nearly as imposing as the front four. That said, those players will benefit greatly from Young and Co. wrecking games up front. And it's not like the back two levels of the defense are devoid of talent. First-rounder Jamin Davis is an athletic marvel at linebacker, and he's been a trendy pick this offseason for Defensive Rookie of the Year. Seeing safety Landon Collins play in Washington's preseason opener -- just nine months after tearing his Achilles -- was quite encouraging. And you can do much worse than a starting CB duo of William Jackson and Kendall Fuller. Jamin Davis is still a 1st rounder. It's only fair to have high expectations for him. Think he will always be compared to Parsons and Z Collins who have both impressed. Know he's got the talent. Last edited by WCommandersfan99; 08-18-2021 at 11:45 PM. |

Re: Around the NFL: NFL Offseason
That article didn’t explain the ranking. Our CB and LB situation improved over last year (and safety too) and our ranking is lower. I wonder if they are expecting an increase in turnovers to lead to more points against us. Weird.

Devonta Smith looks like a make-a-wish kid here. Feels like the game plan to defend him is gonna be "hit him as hard as possible."

Re: Around the NFL: NFL Offseason
Yeah everyone will be testing his toughness and fragility. How fast is he? What was his 40 time? It seems to me that smaller receivers tend to survive and flourish on out running the defenders, Deshaun Jackson for example, but if he cant out run a defenders he is going to take punishment

Re: Around the NFL: NFL Offseason
That was the knock on him from the get-go. He was fairly protected in College because of the scheme they ran for him, but I don't see him being afforded the same protection in the NFL. He will have to be able to take a beating.
Maybe he's a tough kid. I'm sure we'll find out soon enough. |
