But these are things that can be corrected. Could be that he waw pressing a bit because of the situation w/ their o-line.

But wouldn't you agree that these are just mental errors that can be easily corrected? I have always hated giving up draft picks. But the Rams have proven that going the other way can work.

I like Tunsil, he makes the whole line better. Putting Coleman and Tunsil on the left side with Cosmi and Wylie on the right will give JD5 that extra time to destroy the other team's scheme.

That said, our defense is taking hit after hxt and it wasn't good enough for that.

im ok with the Tunsil trade, however i do not understand the Javon Kinlaw signing.
Jonathan Allen would have cost us 16 mil vs Kinlaw who costs us 15 mil.. soo we're saving a mil for a player that's worse than Allen ?
I get it was time to move on from Allen but why the hell did we pay this below average dude so much?

Tunsil will help our Oline, there's no question about that.

On a different note, I'm kinda concerned about the safety position. As of right now, Butler would replace Chinn if we don't sign a safety unless we draft one.

We were one game away from being in the Superbowl. When you have an unexpected good team, you have to swing big.

Even with his flaws, Tunsil is easily a top 10 tackle in the league. We haven't had anywhere near that talent since Trent.

Looking at the guaranteed money handed out on day 1, Kinlaw near the top. I don’t understand it either. Seemed like a lot slotted for the position and him ranked among peers in the Dline.

Hope it works out, but there were other guys I woulda used that on DJ Reed, Joey Bosa, etc

100% agree. I hope they slide Coleman inside to Alegretti position. Down the stretch I thought inside, up the middle pressure was more of a problem than even the mediocre play of Wylie at tackle

I know folks..including myself…would welcome a replacement for Wylie, but Coleman best position imo is inside left guard.

I agree here, and the market just proved your point that Allen is better, because he is now getting paid 20m vs Kinlaw's 15m.

We also had Allen under contract, in my eyes it was an unforced error. The only logical explanation I see us if Allen is irreperably injured only known by our staff and Kinlaw has been hindered by both his 49ers and Jets defensive coaching staff, or by his knee injuries that are secretly now bionic.

kinlaw is a head scratcher , even kiem on his podcast wasn't super positive and basically was like this is a wait and see

kinlaw is 27 vs allen's 30; trying to find positives

Looks to me like he really improved on it. In weeks 1-4 last year he was penalized 12 times for 65 yards. Then wasn't penalized at all weeks 5, 6, 7.

Week 8 thru 18 he had 7 penalties for 30 yards.

They must have something up their sleeve to pair with Kinlaw, but the open market does not seem to have a DE worth it, and if it is Hendrickson, his run defense isn't great, maybe a secret trade partner for an edge setter? Even so, not sure where the sacks come from schematically, especially losing Chinn.

Re: Washington Free Agents Signings

I mean, i do like shoring up the oline, and even WR, but the reason we didnt get to the SB is defense and at this early point day 2 into Free agency, we are worse at a higher cost...waiting...

Nice info!
It seems 17 of 19 penalties were unforced mental errors, mostly inexcusable false starts. Only 2 holding penalties all year, wow!

Didnt we have a star player in 60s underperform when the coach discovered he needed a hearing aid and then he went on to a hall if fame career?

This looks eerily familiar

Will Harris signed at Safety , played for New Orleans last year and lined up at many different spots on D. Sounds like a depth signing? Not too familiar with Harris.

It was on Reddit (?) but they said that DQ wants to run a defensive package where they have a "big end" and Kinlaw fits the bill. Was called something like the Hog package? If I can find the post, will link here, but it made more sense to me after reading about it.
