Re: AROUND THE NFL WEEK 11

Playing with house money as far as I am concerned. We know neither Wentz nor TH are the answer but we are winning so don't fix what isn't broken

Yep -- I think that's about the best we can do. I would like to see us build enough of a lead for the team to put in Howell at least for a series or two at some point. Very curious about what he can do.

Not all of us. But if you only drink vintage wines you know.

Re: AROUND THE NFL WEEK 11

I think the Texans were the only likely candidate for that so not much chance to see Howell the rest of the season, of course it would be nice to beat Dallas or the Giants soundly enough for him to get a look, but I doubt it happens

Talent-wise he can do all of the same things as Heinicke but better. But since he's nowhere close to playing, doesn't look like he will know the offense well enough and understand NFL defenses well enough to play yet.

But I'm definitely interested in seeing him in live action. Not above winning though. So we wait to see how long this ride can last.

As bad as our WR's are I don't want him anywhere near the team.

Tough break with your rookie WR going down this weekend, G1. Hate to see that.

Re: AROUND THE NFL WEEK 11

I'd still rather see us beat teams at full strength, although by this point in the season, that never happens. Pitts tearing an MCL helps us a fair bit too in the ATL game, but I still hate to see it. Knock on wood, we've been fairly fortunate so far -- Wentz's injury gave way to TH, and we've got enough depth around other injuries (Roullier, McKissick, Young, less so Holcomb) to manage around them.

Lions are no joke. They were inches from beating Philly, Seattle, and Miami. They have won 3 in a row. Little shocking how bad they beat the Giants, yes, but they are far from the same old Lions. I like Dan Campbell alot.
