Re: Redskins free agent signings 2018

I wouldn't even bother with Crowell, but a RB needs to be drafted in the first 2 rounds.

Sheldon Richardson, Dontari Poe, Muhammad Wilkerson are all out there, and even with one of them we could still go DL in round 1. An 8 million dollar WR isn't going to kill us in 2018

Shameless self-promotion. It is what it is.

What’s going on with Trent Murphy? Heard we offered a contract but nothing signed. Anyone know?

Sheehan said the other day we could be surprised how many teams are interested in signing Murphy.
Probably won't get crazy money but good pass rusher are wanted.

I like their plan better I think.

Wow. Guess Gruden wasn't the only one that loves him.

Liking the Richardson signing better by the minute.

Got Paul Richardson for 1 million more a year. But you know he isn't worth it

With the 20M left I'd sign a ILB (Zach or other) at 7-8M, Isaiah Crowell at 8-10M, and resign guys like Spencer Long.
Then I'd trade down and go DT, G, and DefBPA .
But there are other valid combinations to fill these needs.

Did you say pay Crowell, a RUNNING BACK, $8 - $10M per year??

Good for Ryan Grant. Good for Maurice Harris. Hope they both have great years next season.

Isaiah Crowell intends to sign a 3-year deal with the NY Jets, per source.

The #Packers are signing former #Jets DT Mo Wilkerson, source confirms @RobDemovsky report.

Re: Redskins free agent signings 2018

Redskins figure to do well with compensatory picks in 2019 draft.

Cousins, Breeland, Ryan Grant all getting money. So far just Richardson balancing it out on the other side of the ledger. It’s not over of course, we’ll sign some guys but we’ll also probably lose Long and either Galette or Murphy.

The more guys you lose in comparison to the guys you pick up, and the bigger the dollar difference is, the more compensatory picks you’re awarded.

This is definitely part of their new model. Let guys go who get overpaid for mediocre play, resign your own studs, and reap the rewards of compensatory picks.
