I agree. RG3 CAN'T play right now. How can there be a controversy when one guy is injured and can not get on the field. There is only 1 option right now, and it's Kirk Cousins. 1 game wasn't going to determine anything. He's the starter for at least 6 more games, so let's wait and see.

But 400 yards and a 3 to 1 TD to INT ratio is damn good for a guy making his 5th career start against a legit Super Bowl contender on their home field. Yes, he didn't get us in field goal range on the last drive, but even the most elite QBs in the league aren't perfect. How about Aaron Rodgers yesterday? 7 points? How did Brady look against the Raiders? We're not even in the game without KC. Let's just see how he does over the next 6 weeks. If he consistently fails to deliver in the clutch, then we'll probably get RG3 back and need to get fully behind him.

It's getting old. It will play itself out but one of them is going to have to be traded next off season.

Re: Skins vs. Eagles Post-Game

When you come away knowing that your backup QB has come this far, to the point where you have two starting caliber QBs, you have to be very happy.

That's an extremely good Eagles team that we went toe-to-toe with. They are a legit super bowl contender and we almost beat them in their house.

We lost lane discipline on the kickoff return for a TD, that was extremely disappointing. Otherwise I'm very happy with that game, aside from the injuries. I think we have reason to believe the Redskins will be very competitive all season long.

Rather have Minnifield or Crawford. How about both and cut Porter who's wasting a roster spot.

In the third quarter, Silas Redd ran onto the field for a punt return, then ran back to the sideline in a panic. But he was the 11th player. The Redskins ended up fielding the punt with 10 men.

i missed that special team gem from yesterday...

Lots of reasons we lost. Special teams was a main culprit obviously.

But my issue yesterday was this. KC got us in position to win the game but when it counted he missed passes. The INT was ehhh...they happen. But he missed a couple throws that we really needed him to hit. I am afraid that is what he is as a QB.

Sweet!!

From Rich Tandler:

@Carolinadon09 hearing that they might bring up Chase Minnifield from the PS. Not sure if that's enough.

Man, people are touchy about the QB situation. As for me, I am grateful that we have two capable QB's.

To detractors:

Some of his inaccurate passes had nothing to do with pressure.
I was watching the game where Cousins was 3 of 11 when rushed by 5.

I hope so. We should work on it for sure. As for "either," not sure what you are referring to.

IMO he missed passes early, too, but receivers bailed him out with fine catches. Near the end he missed so badly that he could not be bailed out.

I wouldn't mind having Crawford back, we need bodies for special teams.

Wow...I cant believe the negativity towards Cousins.
Did you see his stats FFS?
Did you want him to play corner and special teams too?

I was talking about that with a coworker today. I said really good QBs could play poorly for three quarters but when the game is on the line find the way to win. I am pleased with Cousins performance not sure he is ready to put the team on his shoulders in a difficult situation. We will see.

Re: Skins vs. Eagles Post-Game

I like what Cousins was able to get done yesterday. He did a nice job for most of the game. But I do have to put some blame of him for the final drive (or lack there of). We needed 10 yards to have a chance to tie it. He did what he had to before that drive and got us a TD. The defense came through with a big stop to get the ball back with plenty of time and great field position. Cousins didn't look to have it in him to get the win or tie.
