If one comes back they will be in playoff contention. If both come back at the end of the year they will be in super bowl contention. Also those receivers they have no just started their first two games. The team will look very different after 17 weeks of football. |

Re: Around the NFL...Week 2 Style!
New England will be a playoff team only because they are in such a terrible division. They have no receivers, no running game, and their defense is meh. A lot of people will say, Belichick/Brady will pull it off, but I don't understand why as a team they've put themselves in that position. It seems that for the past five years they always have multiple first/second round picks or are involved in ridiculously one-sided trades that benefits them. Yet, they've never invested on top talent either through the draft or through free agency.
Unless something drastically happens, I just don't see them beating teams like Denver, Houston, Baltimore, even Indy.

Well, Von Miller could get suspended longer (just caught driving on suspended license) and Peyton Manning could get hurt running one of those pistol plays...

I've never seen Brady get THAT pissed during a game. I thought he was going to pop an artery. You know they are in trouble when he gets to that level of frustration.

Sorry. Not his ligaments. Tore his abductor muscle which connects legs to hips. Also possible sports hernia. Out 3-4 weeks.

Re: Around the NFL...Week 2 Style!
Panthers decided not to guard Stevie Johnson on the last play of the game. Wide open in the end zone. Not a guy within 10 yards of him. Game winning TD.
