You are absolutely correct. Of course, defense-minded old timers like me are disgruntled by this turn. "The game used to end at 7-3 and we liked it that way dagnabbit!"

But, regardless of what I might think, the NFL has turned into an offensive arms race.

I'm saying like a true slot WR would be really good to have because moss is getting older and we could use a player like Swope or something to come in and start taking over. I love our offense believe me but there's nothing wrong with adding to it. I do agree with u about defense though, it's obviously our biggest and highest priority

Evan Royster is the current back-up to Morris and he's gone from likely starter to a foot and a half out the door in less than a year

And I think they're not being totally truthful about Helu's status

I mean maybe they'll go DB in the 2nd and WR/RB in the 3rd, but I don't think they're going to go defense/defense off the top
Thank God. I never thought he was anything special. Not a fast, cutting back (Helu) or a bruiser (Morris) so what did that leave him as? I dunno what you all (or the coaches) think his ceiling is, but he seemed pretty average.

Re: Post Your Redskins Mock Draft Here

Hey, all. I'm new here. Here are a couple likely scenarios that would be perfect for us.

2nd: FS - Phillip Thomas - Fresno State
3rd: CB - Robert Alford - Southeastern Louisiana
4th: SS - Duke Williams - Nevada
5th: WR - Chris Harper - Kansas State
5th: OT/OG - Tanner Hawkinson - Kansas
6th: FS - Ray Ray Armstrong - Miami
7th: WR - Jasper Collins - Mount Union

2nd: FS/SS - DJ Swearinger - South Carolina
3rd: CB - Robert Alford - Southeastern Louisiana
4th: SS - Duke Williams - Nevada
5th: OT/OG - Tanner Hawkinson - Kansas
5th: FS - Dominick Reyes - Stony Brook
6th: FS - Ray Ray Armstrong - Miami
7th: WR - Jasper Collins - Mount Union

I have faith in Helu returning healthy to back up Alfred. I also think Keenan will step up and be set to start. If he's not, we can draft a LB next year. I think we'll be set at CB this year. Keep in mind, we'll have a lot more money to spend in free agency next year.

Welcome, and I would welcome both of those except the fact that we have 4 safteies in the 2nd sceneario.

Thanks.

As we all know, Merriweather might get re-injured again. My second mock was a back-up plan. It would allow us to have GREAT depth behind Merriweather as well as starters for years to come. I like Dejon and Doughty, but they are just role players. What if we could get starting-caliber role players? Duke Williams is a guy that will be a great pro. Reyes is very intriguing, because he's 6'4" and was used mostly covering the slot receiver and in run coverage. He's a great tackler. I can only imagine a Phillip Thomas & Duke Williams/Dom Reyes safety duo.

Re: Post Your Redskins Mock Draft Here

I honestly don't see Ray Ray Armstrong being drafted. And if Robert Alford falls to the backend of the third where we pick I would be floored.

Redskins have 2 things against them in this draft, no first round pick and we pick in the later half of each round. Here is an option i would consider....

2nd: David Amerson CB
2nd (Trade back into the 2nd): DJ Swearinger S
3rd: Used to trade up
4th: Josh Boyce WR or Denard Robinson WR
5th: Chris Faulk OT
5th: Used to trade up
6th: Onterio McCalebb RB
7th: Used to trade up

Re: Post Your Redskins Mock Draft Here

We are trading back in the 2nd and picking up an additional 3rd

2. Jonathan Banks, CB
3. Andre Ellington, RB
3. Phillip Thomas, FS
4. Dave Bakhtiari, OT
5. Brandon McGee, CB
5. Josh Boyce, WR
6. Matt Fustenburg, TE
7. Chico, Waterboy

Dream draft, hopefully what we could pull off. That dude may be gone already by the seventh
