Which is one of the most obvious reasons that we are scoring more. If returns are random, then more total returns will mean more returns for TDs.
Then there's the element where we no longer consider it a waste of practice time to let the defense practice returns on interceptions. Granted, I'm pretty sure Hall scores without blocking on both of those TD returns this year, but at least we won't run into a Kareem Moore/Robert Meachem situation again.

And it's definitely a style of play. You see players swarming around the ball, and guys taking shots at getting the ball loose. I imagine that could be adding to the yardage as there is emphasis both on tackling and causing turnovers, but so far I would say the increased turnover production has been far more critical then the number of yards gained.
