Re: Your Opinion on Facebook

Both of you missed the question. I said I could not close the account and would like to know how. I did not ask how to delete the account like I never had one.

Let me google that for you

Re: Your Opinion on Facebook

first, nice recovery. you are definitely a prime suspect in asking people to google stuff for you. If you contest this, I will find at least 10 posts where you ask about something which can be easily googled.

define closing one? just change your options to not receive messages and everything I guess?

what's the point in "closing" a facebook, whatever in the hell that is? to allow yourself to still see content?

FD - what do you mean by close? Do you want to keep the account, but just keep people who are not your "friends" from accessing your profile?

Re: Your Opinion on Facebook

He is just grasping at straws to try to win this argument. Closing and deleting are same. If "closing" means something different for him, then he is using the wrong term.

Unless closing to him, means logging out or closing his browser window. The plebeian free-version makes that a lot more difficult.

Re: Your Opinion on Facebook

Well I would have thought that closing and deleting were the same thing but after reading Matt's link I noticed they were different in facebooks world. From what I read if you close the account its not active but people can still view your page and you can open it back up. If you want your account completly Deleted you need to follow the link that Matt showed to have all your info deleted off the system.

Thats how I figured out that there is a difference. Its all of you trying to figure out if there is a difference and what it is that are f&^ked up.LOL

I asked this:

I wish someone could tell me how to close the account because I have tried several times.

You sent the info on how to delete the account when I was just looking at how to close the account and there is a difference from your own link.
