I do play Nike golf balls, but not because of Tiger. I play them because I gave them a shot and like the way they feel coming off my club.

I'm not influenced by celebrity or marketing or branding. I could give a crap. So I get what you're saying, lots of people are influenced by those things. I guess I'm just saying I find that pathetic.
It's totally pathetic. Completely agree.

No seriously. I first read consumer reports which liked Nike, Titleist, and one other which I cant remember. I eliminated the titleist based on price and tried the other two. Liked the Nike better.

Can you think of a story of substance (of late) that has and will command the spotlight the way this has?

And I think this is the chief reason why newspapars in print is a dying industry. By the time the paperboy hits your doorstep with the newspaper the vast majority of that news is either old to you or is of no interest. Nowadays we consume our news in specific chunks. If I want football, I go to NFL.com or NFL network. If I want Skins news I don't go to either of those, I go to www.thewarpath.net.

It's a really sad that we have to sift through all the BS and entertainment to actually get to a few minutes of actual information. Incidently, I believe that's why blogs have grown so rapidly and carved out a niche in the world of media.

but they haven't been talking about it a lot. I've heard about it on TV... Maybe for 2 days, with a few allusions to it here and there since the story first broke but other than that, nothing.

other than that I hear about the troop increase a lot lately.

Agreed fully. I've been beating that drum in my conversations about this with friends/family in recent days. If you want to be promiscuous, be my guest. But why be so damn fake? He and Elin haven't been married that long, and he's been fooling around for at least 3 years, probably more. Why enter into a marriage, exchange vows, and have children knowing full well you're going to be unfaithful?

See I look at Jon & Kate situation more worthy of news because they became famous by being married and having 8 kids. Now what they are famous for is what is falling apart where TW is famous for his golf. TW did not lie to us because I cannot remember him ever saying or being asked if he was having an affair. He lied to his wife and family.

If those number are right he was cheating on his wife before they even had children and that makes it even worse.

He's lying to us by insisting the car accident and his facial lacerations have nothing to do with domestic violence. I mean, when you hear a car accident, do you grab a golf club? His wife has been through enough, so I'm glad she doesn't have to deal with any domestic violence charges, but we all know what happened.

Jesper Parnevick had a classic line- "...hope she uses the driver next time instead of the 3-iron." LOL.

You know a golfer is going to try to get in a few holes whenever he can.

yeah apparently after the cops did the investigation they saw a few different places his suv hit before hitting the fire hydrant. there was a map of the crash site that the cops had outlined and it made it on one of the gossip sites. she was swinging that club like john daly. lol. plus she changed her story. the cops are sweeping this under rug but no question if this was the other way around and he was chasing her his ass would be behind bars.
