Yea this is good because now the players will be more focused during the game in Tampa Bay. I was worried that the defense might play with a "what's the point of trying attitude bc of GW" but that is gone now.

When you look at his defensive genius it would be easy to use his head coaching experience with Buffalo as a measure for disaster. But this is the wealthiest team in the NFL. If there is an offensive coordinator out there with proven success, that coordinator will be in Washington in 3 years. Willams with Greg Blache as the Defensive Coordinator, is looking real promising along with the QB of the future Jason Campbell. I'm real confident.

Re: Williams will stay....yyeeeeeaaaaaahhhh!

This is just a GREAT move. Williams said in the interview that he is a REDSKIN. I LOVE that!! This is also great for free agency in the offseason. If good defensive free agents know that GW is here for the long haul, it may entice more of them to sign with the REDSKINS. Hell, not just defensive players. If I'm an NFL WR, I may want to come here knowing that the D will get turnovers and give me more opportunities to score. GREAT NEWS!!! FRIGGIN' GREAT NEWS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i was just thinking the same thing...williams' defense mind with a proven offensive coordinator, and to top that off, a young talented quarterback who spent the last three years learning from THE GREATEST Hall of Fame coach.

I think we have finally turned the corner.....we are back, baby!!!!

Re: Williams will stay....yyeeeeeaaaaaahhhh!

Does anyone remember the "Redskins in 60 seconds" thing that was on redskins.com, where they would ask redskin players and coaches things like what was your first car, can you cook, and so on? Well if you watch the Gregg Williams one he clearly says that he plans on bring a super bowl title to the Redskins.

Also, I am glad to see that Williams cares enough about his family that their happyness meant more to him than $$$ did...

Re: Williams will stay....yyeeeeeaaaaaahhhh!

Something that GW said that makes me think he is not going to be just a great D coach but the next great Redskin Head Coach is that "he well not make the same mistakes he made the first go around and be more a D Head coach and have a Coach run the O! See he has learned from Gibbs and his time here! This to can be something Gibbs can be happy with leaving this team in good hands!

Coaching is the name of the game, it's a great finacial move to sign the best one out there, he will make differnce makers out of players who may have athletic ability but lack football instinkt. His schemes extract the most out of players abilities, this move will save money in the long haul.

To know that we have a solid coaching core and that we can start building the franchise back to where it use to be is great.
