What's your point? Hall has been a playmaker for us. Suisham has a long history of sucking.

If I recall correctly, DeAngelo Hall joined the Skins in Game 9 last year. Down the stretch, the Skins went 2-6 last year.

This year with Hall on the roster, the Skins are 3-9.

My math says that "Playmaker Hall" has been here for and contributed his playmaking skills to a record of 5-15.

I hope the HoF voters have made a note of that for future reference...

Ahhh the joys of 1 on 1 football. DBs are back there several plays a game. Suisham getting paid a mil or so to kick a few FGs and do kickoffs is a pretty good salary in comparison.

Wow, you're honestly blaming Hall for the offense not scoring for half the season to end the last year and half a season to start this year? The defense and Hall, aside from a few plays like against the Panthers has been solid for us. We have not had someone intercepting passes like this for a very long time. He alone increased the defenses turnovers total by a lot.

I guess since Campbell is playing well and Suisham is cut....Landry and Hall are the new scapegoats. Have to blame SOMEONE, right!?

Absolutely agree...that was a crazy post. Our defense has been the only reason we are in games. It's VERY solid. Can't blame Hall for offensive woes.

the redskins gave Suisham more than enough opportunities to succeed and he didnt. Football is just not his game

Re: Suisham released, Gano new kicker

Based on his earlier defense of Suisham, it appears that Jim Zorn either has no integrity or no influence over the roster. I think he has integrity, so this may be yet another example of Zorn's diminished authority.

Does Vinny even inform Zorn about the roster moves he's considering? It has amazed me to see the lack of respect for Zorn shown by Vinny this season. Whether or not replacing Suisham was the right move, it's clear to me that Vinny has no compunction about embarassing Jim Zorn. That is unprofessional and unkind.

Well, I think it was pointed out that Zorn didn't really defend Suisham to the nth degree, and also acknowledged that other kickers were going to be tried out on Tuesday. He also said that Suisham wouldn't empty out his locker on Monday, he didn't say the same for Tuesday. I think Zorn tries to hide his cards as awkwardly as JC tries to slide. This shouldn't be construed as a defense of VC, as I hope he goes, but more a defense of Zorn's integrity on the question of Suisham

Re: Suisham released, Gano new kicker

No one should be surprised, that shank cost us the game and any chance to beat a great opponent (an 11-0 team). If Gano is an upgrade, we might not have to adreess the K issue this offseason, unless a big time FA hits the market

Re: Suisham released, Gano new kicker

I'm a big FSU fan and Gano was a beast there. He is way better on kickoffs than Suisham, he has a very strong leg, and he was very accurate at FSU. It does concern me, however, that he couldn't make it through camp with the Ravens. Hopefully, he works out.

Kneejerk reaction?

He was lousy last year and was lucky to still have a job.
