Don't forget that the o-line practiced with Betts often and Portis little.

I don't think it's that far-fetched. I think you get a little more pumped up when you're getting results.

I've said this before, but anyone else think that one of the reasons we haven't been drafting the O-line for the last several years has been because of Bugel? I have this weird feeling Bugel told them not to waste high picks on the O-line, because he could "coach them up."

Just wondering.

Wow, where would anyone get that sort of idea? I don't believe that for a minute. Joe Bugel couldn't have lasted this long in the NFL if he tells the front office not to draft linemen; that he can coach anybody. The man is one of the best coaches of offensive linemen in history. You don't get to that point by trying to convince front offices that you can turn garbage into Pro Bowlers. After 32 years in the NFL, Buges has had to tell lots of people that they aren't cut out for football.

I can't imagine ANY position coach not wanting better players.

LOL yeah right?

Buges to the front office: Hey guys I'm fine over here, don't worrry about me. Do I want a first round OL? Nah, just load me up with some undrafted scrubs and I'll be good to go. Should we sign some free agents? You kidding me I've got guys like Heyer and Armstrong to coach up!

Re: Let's Talk Levi Jones and Offensive Line

hopefully next year it will be like this:
LT: Samuels/ Levi Jones
LG: Dockery
C: Edwin Williams/ Matt Tennant
RG: Mike Williams
RT: Russell Okung/ Trent Williams

I really feel the biggest posers on the line is Heyer and Rabach. Heyer was never supposed to be anything more than a back up and Rabach has lost a step. I thought Mike Williams did a good job at gaurd when he played that position and gave us the ability to run on the right side. Edwin Williams is a good and we could draft a player like Mike Tennant in the midrounds to give us a youthful mix.

I hope Chris Samuels never takes another snap in the NFL. His health is more important than a winning record.

How did Edwin and Levi play yesterday? I only got to watch half the game in streaming quality.

Levi did solid job, just like he had done during the Denver game.. As for Edwin, to tell you truth, I didn't think he missed any beat once he started playing.. At least, that's what I saw.. I much would prefer for Ediwn to start as G instead of Montgomery for rest of the season..
