Re: Potential trades
I would rank our trade probability (based on need) like this:
1. CB 2. DE 3. WR 4. OL Phone lines are open... |

Re: Potential trades
I hope the Browns realize soon that they should be in selling mode. This would be an amazing pick up.

Re: Potential trades
My only hesitation with Lattimore is his discipline. I've seen WRs get under his skin quickly wayyy to many times. Can't deny the talent though, from that perspective he'd be a great addition.

Re: Potential trades
Not to mention availability. He's only played 18 games in the last 3 seasons. I'd rather go with Ward if we're investing draft capital, or Newsome for that matter.

Re: Potential trades
Ward, Newsome, and Lattimore would be upgrades, each with pros and cons. But upgrades nonetheless. I'm actually not that fussed about our WRs. I continue to think that we could rely on Noah Brown and Luke McCaffrey more -- McCaffrey isn't on the field a lot, but when he is, he's either blocking well or open. Obviously, the way our offense is humming, far be it for me to second-guess. But I am not convinced that WR is nearly as great a need as CB and DE. I am feeling good about O-line. We held the team leading the NFL to 0 sacks. Coleman is really owning the LT position, and Lucas is a very capable backup (although not healthy at the moment). Amazing how the O line went from one of the very worst to among the best in a season.
Adam Peters is a magician.

Re: Potential trades
I agree and the key for me is, who do we trade for if pursuing OL and WR? Who's worth the trade capital. Upgrading CB is a universally identified need for us, and there are guys out there that WANT to play for us. Even DE, if we can persuade maybe the Giants to give up Ojulari (their season is done and they won't face him again), or prise another good DE from a losing team (except CY...)?

Lattimore
Hope there would be around the cap hit for them and transfer it to us for the next two years. 18 million a year is not a bad rate for a top-rated cornerback. |

Re: Potential trades
I'm seeing whispers on Twitter about Lattimore en route. Saw a picture of DQ and Lattimore, supposedly at Naw'leans airport. Also saw another one of Lattimore at Dulles. Really hard to tell tbh, they could be faked, etc. Guess we'll know tomorrow by 4 pm.

I'm pro trade, as long as it's the right character for for this team and not a rental. The chemistry is so good with this team right now it's unbelievable.

Re: Potential trades
Per CBS Sports Coms may send Forbes to Cin in trade for rookie WR: "It's possible the Bengals could trade rookie receiver Jermaine Burton -- who was a healthy scratch during Sunday's win over the Raiders -- in a trade involving Forbes."
p.s. Burton is said to be a legitimate deep threat and a notorious problem child. He might be a risk worth taking for a ham sandwich named Forbes.
