Re: Super Happy Fun Thread!

I saw the entire show and that guy is hilarious. I am thinking that was meant to be a kind of poetry jam kind of thing.

"I'm a modern man, a man for the millennium, digital and smoke-free, a diversified multi-cultural post-modern deconstructionist, politically, anatomically, and ecologically incorrect. I've been uplinked and downloaded, I've been inputted and outsourced, I know the upside of downsizing, I know the downside of upgrading."

Har har har.
I think people either love him or hate him. The majority of his comedy has to do with language and how it's used. I think his mother was a lingustics professor or something like that and that's where he got it from.
You also have to realize that he's been doing this for 30+ years, so he's been copied so many times that now he actually seems unoriginal.

Re: Super Happy Fun Thread!

George Carlin and the 7 words u can't say on TV is one of the funniest comedy routines I've ever heard.
and as the title of the video asks: WTF is up with Connie Chung? that was almost as bad as listening to yoko ono or however u spell her name.

I don't know...I was an English major in college and I have a pretty decent appreciation for linguistics, and I still don't think it's funny

I'd have to agree with mheisig on this one. Guess it's just not my thing.

^ This one will help take away the pain from watching that one.

(My favorite parts: The bus at the 1:00 mark, the bear at 1:30 and the pole vault at 2:10)

You really have to feel bad for this guy but you would think he would question this long before...
