Literally busted out laughing when I read your post.
Thank you. So where do you think Kirk is going?

Re: Redskins trade for Alex Smith
Kirk Morrison LB? He will probably stay retired if I had a guess.

Re: Redskins Trade for Alex Smith
One of the really good things about Alex is players won't be saying things like this anymore.
We*kind of felt like the commitment wasn’t there from Kirk,”*Hall said Tuesday on “SportsCenter”*in*the first of his multiple appearances as a guest analyst during a visit to ESPN headquarters. “We obviously wanted Kirk. We franchised him because we wanted him there. It was up to ownership and the front office to kind of work those numbers out. They couldn’t get the numbers worked out, so he signed franchise tags those two football seasons. Everybody in that locker room was behind Kirk, wanted him there, but we wanted to feel like he wanted to be there as well. Having played 14 years, I understand, ‘Let’s go get the money,’ but at some point there has to be mutual interest from both parties to want to get better collectively as a team. Paying Kirk probably the $30 million he’s going to get, we couldn’t do that and get better as a football team.” https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/...d-to-be-there/ Team chemistry and trust is important to overall success. Re: Redskins Trade for Alex Smith

Re: Redskins trade for Alex Smith
You know, when I read this the first time, I read it in my best Bill Belichick voice (the pressure where he tries to interrupt the reports by saying Seattle, Seattle, Seattle!)

Re: Redskins trade for Alex Smith
"But what about the money Cousins will make in Minnesota?" - ALEX!
"Did Kirk really want to..." ALEX SMITH! "If Cousins had gotten...."Smith. We're onto Alex Smith."

Re: Redskins Trade for Alex Smith
Lol. I love it. This will be my plan going forward for anyone who asks me about Kirk. I hope Gruden does the same.

Re: Redskins trade for Alex Smith
I think Kirk Cousins would approve of our sincere intentions to get this Alex Smith thread back on track.

Quote:
No one is going to confuse Alex Smith for Bret Favre, but I wouldn't be surprised if there isn't some similarities to how Mark Brunell played for us. Mark didn't turn the ball over, Mark didn't have a strong arm, but he could move the ball. And at times, Mark could take off and run. Alex Smith is a better athlete than what Mark Brunell was, but I think like Brunell with Clinton Portis and Laddell Betts, Smith will have to rely on a strong running game.
