Its in DC. Its a seasonal and just started hitting the shelves this month. Cigar city is a little harder to find. Like I said it had been a year since I've seen it. I got mine at Total Wine

Using the beer finder on Bell's site, it's not available anywhere in MoCo (I put in zip codes in Gaithersburg and Germantown and they point at stores in NoVA). Most likely has to do with who's distributing it in MD and them not dealing with MoCo's Liquor Board. You'll have to trek up to my neck of the woods to get it. I know a 4 pack of Two Hearted ran like 8 or 9 bucks. There are some very good liquor stores up this way. DTC has them beat because of draft and growler fills, but selection is very good.

Re: Let's talk good beer

BD - thanks for the look up. ive decided i am making a stand against this unchecked aggression. On my lunch break i am driving down to the Whole Foods on P street. i buying a shit ton of beer i cant find in Mo Co.

chico - untappd has a look for option. but i like your idea. BD does some type of web development, maybe he knows somebody that write code?

alpine hopslam ale - anyone seen it yet? supposedly out and about in md. just have to find it.

got burnt. sitting on some beer i just dont like. burley oak secret sauce (berlin, md) cost 21.99 a sixer and i pulled the trigger and its ..... weak and not good. like a watered down dipa. i know i dont like pumpkin beers but every year i try and i kick my self in the ass for it. this year i bought a 4 pack of pumpking for 17.99, hate it.

anyone want $40 bucks of crappy beer? i cant bring my self to waste it.

LOL! OTM, you posted this link back in January: SeekABrew US Distribution Map

Might not be an app, but it'll work.

Good luck on your lunchtime journey.

Haven't seen Alpine Hopslam but if I do, I'll let you know.

^ Definitely bookmarking that distribution map... wish I could find Cigar City more often in my area. Whenever I'm in Tampa I always drink my fill of Jai Alai.

Re: Let's talk good beer

lunch trip to DC was kinda crazy. i was rushing so i just put "whole foods P st wash dc" in my apple map app and it put a pin on P street and N Capitol. after driving through traffic and lane closures on Georgia Ave i get to some little mom n pop corner grocery store. wtf.

i then google for the actual addy for whole foods, drive the 10m mins across DC, find it.

the selection was a lot smaller than i expected. they had good stuff but id rather just drive to magruders or rodmans in DC for bigger selection.

but i got me some breakfast stout. really excited. never had it. i looked last year and just couldnt find it. they only had 3 4packs on the shelf so i bought them all. i feel like an ahole clearing the shelf before a friday night but i get 1 to drink this weekend, 1 to save for thanksgiving and 1 to give to someone.

the office did call after an hour or so with a passive aggressive "just checking" call.

OTM - Awesome that you got the breakfast stout. Those fools should have beaten you to the punch.

Had my bomber of Enjoy by 10/31/15. Tropical notes are nice. Hoppy for sure. Contemplating another beer, but I'm pretty sure my palate is shot.

Re: Let's talk good beer

Jai aili...has a lot of upfront bite, first impression. Heavy body, doesn't drink light. Def good, has a little of that syrupy finish, like Sierra has...not my favorite but very solid.

Idk if anyone else has tried this but I had the Oyster Stout from Flying Dog at the tailgate yesterday and I didn't enjoy it at all. Tasted like chocolate coffee beer. Other than that the rest of the Flying Dog variety pack was great though.

Yeah their oyster stout is just ok. My favorite oyster stout of all time was by 21st Amendment called Marooned on Hog Island. So much tasty brine in that. But it was a one time thing.
