Re: 2024 Early Bird Draft Thread
I really don't care too much about that. Yeah it's a little weird but so be it. It's the incredible hype machine that is behind him. It reminds me so much of Chase and RG3. Then when you look at his games against top competition, it's pretty much average to below average. Where is his CJ Stoud type of game against Georgia?

in 2022 vs Stanford Utah Arizona California The Bowl Game 2023 Washington Stanford Colorado Arizona State Justin Herbert didn't have a game in college that made you say OMG, had no problem getting drafted and we can all agree that robert getting hurt derailed him because that rookie season he was 100% looking like he was worth the hype. Every #1 pick is gonna get hype. I am not even saying trade up to go get him but people saying he is gonna be a bust because of finger nail polish, or because he cried when he lost is crazy. Stroud had a hell of a game vs Clemson, he also was playing with top notch college WRs, Caleb hasnt had that, holding that ND game over his head like its the end all be all is short sighted

Re: 2024 Early Bird Draft Thread
harbaugh and McDonald were the two I really wanted.
Quinn is fine, just not exciting and the last game on his resume is awful. He should be able to pull in a better overall coaching staff, since he's been around forever and is well-liked. If he gets the team to the playoffs, no one's going to be crying about what could have been or remember much about the coaching search at all. If it doesn't work out, everyone willing be yelling about how they knew better from the start and how terrible of a decision this was. humans. |

Re: 2024 Early Bird Draft Thread
So, with KK in the house, which of these scenarios seems most likely, if not another?
1) We stay at #2 and draft Maye (or Daniels?).* 2) We trade up and take Williams. 3) Williams does an Eli Manning and we trade QB's and picks after we take Maye @#2. *My favoured choice at this point. KK should be able to work with any QB we go with, regardless of his relationship with Williams, and I'm a bit loathe to give up too many picks for moving up one spot. 3 might work out cheaper than 2 once the bears pick again, but I doubt the Bears would wait until then if they were even considering trading the #1. I think more likely they take Williams and that's that (aside from trading Fields). |

Re: 2024 Early Bird Draft Thread
I'm kind of getting tired of the trade up for Caleb talk. Chicago is not going to pass on this type of talent, the conversation should stop right there. I see no value in spending next season's first and other high picks to move up one spot when there are 2 very highly rated QBs still available.

is a kings ransom worth it for Williams; keep fields and add the pieces around him, its basically roulette do they put all their chips Williams or spread their chips (they will have a lot of chips after the trade) out on other talent imagine fields in SF offense; i bet he out performs purdy ; build a niners offense around fields

We got enough cap space to upgrade a couple areas away from the draft. Between the draft and FA we can literally put a much better roster together quickly. Peters needs to save us. We are Princess Leia and he is Obi Wan Kenobi. He is our only hope. |

You realize that Peters has kept everyone that was under Ron, including Mayhew and Hurney.
