I know -- it's brutal. But with the injuries he keeps having, you have to wonder how much longer he'll be able to play (if at all).

McKissic should retire for health purposes. But I absolutely loved him in 2020 and 21 until the injury. Was just super clutch. Real shame about the injuries.

K
CB
RG(Cosmi?)
LG
LT (leno is a liability)
QB-2
TE (can LT return to form? And stay healthy?)
S
LB

These areas still need addressing at starter or depth. A few will be addressed in the draft. Im hoping for a couple day 1-2 on the oline. That is an absolute necessity. LB too.

I don't think our draft needs have changed all that much overall. I think we can draft 1 less OL, but other than that, still need all the other positions and at least 1 more OL (I prefer 2).

Agreed. My mocks were definitely 3 deep on the line. Now they are 1-2. With basically a rookie quarterback I really want it cemented over anything else.

Yeah, even if we drafted 2 more OL and neither started, the whole group needed an overhaul altogether anyways.

Leno, Gates, Chase, Cosmi, Wylie as the starting 5 with Drafted LT, Drafted G, and Chris Paul as the backups would be an improvement. If Larsen is still eligible for the practice squad, I'd try to bring him back too.

Agreed.

Honestly the sale of the team kinda overshadows every other offseason moves, but IMO so far we're having the best offseason we could realisticly have hoped for. Unexpectedly managed to extend Payne, signed 2 solid Olinemen, brought a vet ILB, and already improved CB depth... With a lot of time left to make some moves before the draft, and the draft, we could have a way more complete that expected roster come July !

Roullier needs to come back strong or a starting center is a need as well (Gates is good depth but not starter material).

What is the status with Larsen too? I would not be opposed to drafting a C there are several good ones coming out this year. We have to sign a veteran qb - bridgewater ?

I would pass on Larsen and draft a C, restructure Roullier, meaning reduce his salary in 1/2.

Sleeper pick at 16 is the best TE in the draft. EB pick

I'd be totally fine with drafting a TE in any round. I love Thomas, but he's totally replaceable at this time. And outside of Bates, all the other TE's are "potential" type guys. I think that's an undercover weakness on the roster.

Re: Commanders 2023 Off-Season Thread

I know it's not critical at this point of the offseason to have a published depth chart, but I can't help feeling that at least keeping it reasonably up to date in line with signings and public statements shows professionalism (or wipe it altogether and replace with a TBA message).
https://www.commanders.com/team/depth-chart

It's one thing to remove the names of those who've left in FA, but given the public statement that SH is #1 on the depth chart at this point, then showing him as #3 here with NOBODY in front of him, looks poor.

I have not been on our team website in years. I come on here or just google redskin / commanders news.

I agree with you though. It looks sloppy and half assed. Like most of the things this organization has done for years. That is all about to change though.
