I think RG-3 and Almo are probably still appealing to someone who is capable of winning

Source is saying Shanahan is likely to be fired and the Skins will pursue Art Briles. Can't post the link from my phone

Stupid.....Way to pacify your spoiled star QB......Lets bring in a coach who has confessed to not having a offensive play book..Probably only type of coaches we are going to have while Synder is the owner.

Can we lay off the excuses? No matter what MS has had 4 yrs to accomplish something. Most HC's get better each year. MS got worse two yrs in a row, then had a play off season, and now worse then the first two. I would have probably been more in MS's corner had MS shown that the team was getting better each yr, that there was improvement somewhere but there has not been. Defensively nothing has changed... no better no worse... but last in the league. Offensively there is always an excuse for why we suck. Always. Oh its the HC, oh its the WR's, oh its the QB, oh its the scheme, oh its the monetary penalty, its always something. Maybe, just maybe it's the owner is why we suck? New toy or not can't he just keep his hands out of the cookie jar until this team does something spectacular?

I guess if RG3 is, what DS wants to believe is our franchise QB, then you might as well bring in the HC that made RG3 what he was in college. Otherwise RG3 will have to change and I can tell you RG3 looks horrible as a pocket passer. Maybe he can develop but he's not under this horrid OL and blocking scheme.

No opinion either way other then to say RG3 played well under Art, but please don't say Art had no playbook. Arts playbook was iPads with videos of the plays. He says he believes people learn better and quicker by seeing the play actually run vs. scribbling out X's and O's with a bunch of lines and telling the players to learn it.

So in all actuality he does have a playbook. Your welcome.

Baylor coach Art Briles abandoned the playbook several years ago, and he and his assistants teach their players the fast-paced spread offense through countless repetitions in practice and by watching hours of film.
"When I was at Houston, the first thing everybody wanted was the playbook," said Briles, who coached the Cougars from 2003 to '07. "A guy's not going to read or study it. Kids play video games, so we show them the plays on video. Everything is on an iPad, and we label it and number them. A playbook is something we don't do.
"I'm a visual learner, and people learn differently. If you can see something, you remember it. If you read it and try to interpret it, it's a little different. We do a lot of repetition on the field so guys can learn it."

EDIT: sorry don't know why it quoted the other guy.

WOW thanks for that info....Art Briles would be a horrible hire, Jason Campbell played well at Auburn why didnt we bring in their coach after Gibbs left? We need a defensive guy here, the offense has potential.
