Re: Washington Redskins vs Green Bay Packers Pre-Game Thread

The Philly game really didn't help me figure out what we're made of this year. The Eagles offense is so unique that it's difficult to predict how our D will handle a more traditional offense, such as the Packers. Our offense during the first half was an aberration (at least I hope so). Our offense in the second half was better, but that doesn't mean a whole lot to me because of the circumstances (down by 4 scores and the Eagles defense backing off).

I believe that the 'Skins of the the second half of last season are the real 'Skins. We won't have another case of the"can't-go-rights."

Skins 30
Packers 24

Like Ryan Kerrigan said: if you want to be the best you have to beat the best. Skins get their act together and kick ass in GB.

Yup, Rak is going up against a rookie left tackle, Bakhtiari. Rak needs to own him.

If Rak cant get to AR this week then it's time to just call it like it is.

If Orakpo doesn't make a significant impact against a backup LT, I would be concerned. I've contended that while Rak is a superior athlete, Kerrigan is the superior playmaker, and more worthy of a big contract when the time comes.

They both tend to disappear for entire stretches of games and seasons. Neither have proven to be great pass rushers yet either.

People forget we also have Tapp and Jenkins in addition to Rak and Kerrigan.

Re: Washington Redskins vs Green Bay Packers Pre-Game Thread

Obviously I want to beat the Pack, but even if we lose, I'm not gonna get worked up over it. We can beat the Lions at home, and beat the Raiders anywhere, 2-2 at the bye with 5 divisional games remaining will put us in plenty good position.

(Note - I'm not saying those are guaranteed wins - but I'll still be confident going into week 3 win or lose in week 2.)

I don't understand why Rob Jackson doesn't get any love, after showing tons of potential last season?

B/c he's suspended right now. When he DOES come back, I imagine we'll discuss his role in the upcoming game.

If Orakpo can stay healthy he's the unquestioned starter, but like lots have said it would be nice to see him make a bigger impact. Every game.
