Ummm yeah...

If you're a Skins fan you should watch this. If you had any reason to not like to guy before I defy you to watch this and dislike him when it's over. Schneed's right..in a dream world they all care this much. 100% salute to a great Skin.

I'm afraid next year we'll be having this thread about Moss too. Maybe two years if he has a big season in 2012.
I was thinking the same thing. Actually I was thinking with all these wr's on the roster, does Moss stay? Is he in trouble this year?

I think he would be better on the field insted of Randel El. Atleast he would know the players and be able to joke with them vs. Randel El being so removed from the team. Randel El should have been the sideline commentator for the Steelers. He knows them and the system.

Re: Chris Cooley Released

You know I hate to say this, but I wonder how the salary cap penalty the Skins are under this year played into this. Cooley would have been an expensive back up yes, but are the Skins making room to make another move somewhere really soon? I mean yes, they featured Niles Paul in the preseason just to see what they have in him I'm sure, which is why the lack of passes to Davis doesn't bother me at all, but Cooley could have had a role this year as a FB/TE. Younger, faster, stronger is the mantra for this team.

Snyder, Allen, and Shanny are classier than that.

According to Mike, Cooley wanted to start and my guess is they released him so he could perhaps find a team on his own that he could start and contribute.

Cooley — the franchise’s all-time leader in receptions by a tight end — was released Tuesday by the team, in a move head coach Mike Shanahan said was meant to give the two-time Pro Bowl selection a better opportunity to start elsewhere.

Oh, it was meant in general, not so much here. Their FB page, ES, and others were much more adamant about keeping Cooley. Just thought it was appropriate..lol

I don't think money played too much of an issue. I think Davis being the starter, Paulsen the spot blocker and a developing Niles Paul played into it more than anything. If Niles Paul struggles then this doesn't happen. We went young...and it happened to also be cheaper. If money was really an issue they would have done this long ago.

I don't feel the same about Moss. Moss was not drafted by the team, Moss was picked up later. He had one or two good seasons then had his injury bug and has not been the same either. Maybe losing weight will help him this yr which will be exciting but otherwise I don't feel the same.

Cooley was drafted by the team and has been here a long time. He's been through the ups and downs. Mostly downs. I really was hoping we would get him a ring before he had to leave.

Given the verbiage in the press release about allowing him time to catch on elsewhere and cooleys comments about putting on another jersey - i dont think thats an option.

I'd have rather we cut/resign on the cheap and get rid of paulsen, but oh well.

Re: Chris Cooley Released

since when do teams leave picks or players on the table? if the redskins could have traded him, does anyone here really believe that they would release him for his own good? i don't. i believe there were no takers.

did the redskins really say "a team offered a 6th for him but chris' future is more important than ours"?!? come on, dawg
