Winner.

I'd rather go back to arguing the merits of John Beck. :cheeky-sm

Re: Jabar Gaffney Released

jacoby would be fine. those 5th/6th WR spots are going to be tough to get this year. I think this year it'll be 6 WR / 3 TE / 1 FB / 3 RB and that's including the KR/PR. If we get gafney for cheap later, that'd be great. if not, well, he'd be #4 at best, so letting a young guy in to make a few mistake this season (ie, when it won't matter) and show what they've got (or not) wouldn't be an awful idea either.

I think goff was a great signing too. no risk, possible average NFL starter reward. he's the type of LB that's available every year (like gaffney or our stable of safeties), but it's nice to know we're looking just in case someone decides to break out (like pierce or clark).

I hope the others will cut you some slack since you're new here, but in time hopefully you'll learn who here is serious about their inane comments and who is just joking around. AMD is the latter.

Indeed. I use sarcasm as a way to cloak my real emotions.

As do I.

@12thman: What are you talking about no Jerry Rice? Jabar Gaffney is the greatest receiver to never hit 1000 yards ever almost a decade into a long and undistinguished career. Name one receiver who brought average ability to the table like he does. Name one receiver, nay! PLAYER, who brought an average work ethic to the table like he does. Nobody will be able to replace his average ability, work ethic, and production.

There you go! You see, if we fill this team with average players, we'll have an average team! Which is a step above what we have now, right? other people who want Gaffney back?
