Heyer certainly should've played better, but the mechanics are completely switched going from RT to LT. I said before the game, and I stand by it 100%, the line should've been left intact with Batiste staying at LT. When you shuffle folks around the line it creates confusion in blitz pick-ups also. If there was only a weakness at LT, that can be minimized with protections and playcalls. You move people around the OL you screw up everything.

Just re-emphasized my point.

Maybe Haynesworth can take double teams as a Center/Guard.

His natural position is on his back with his legs up in the air, like Madonna.

I hate to be that guy but is there any point trying to salvage this season, I say just put all the young guys in and start giving them some game experience, F*** it, leave Rhinehart in, put D Thomas and Kelly so that if one of them produces we can trade them away for picks. Get some production and trade value out of the players so that we can get some decent picks in return when we trade them.

Good idea!
After all...offense scores points...not defense..
I'd also try Orapko at WR...or RB....he'd kick serious butt.

Reed Doughty would be a good WR too..that guy is tough.

And what about Ethan Albright...that guy does nothing...make him block and if Sellers wasn't having his worst year...I'd put him on the line too....just because he gets so pissed!

And then we can move Laron to RB. I figured with as many tackles as he misses, he should be able to make a couple people miss himself.

CHAMPIONSHIP!!!!!

And with our no. 1 offensive weapon a.k.a. Hunter the Punter (possibly) back we'll turn it around. LOL.

Can you believe that shit? Hunter and Suisham have more points for us than both of those two WRs?

Considering how weak our O-line is, it makes sense to have RBs on the roster who can block... this could free up Cooley to chip block and run more routes instead of staying behind to block so much. Of course, Ganther will probably not see much playing time... just like the guys he's replacing.

Levi Jones may not be worthy of starting on a roster in 31 other NFL teams, but he's probably an upgrade over BOTH Heyer and Williams. Unless he's hurt, i expect him to be our starting LT within a couple weeks. Heyer will move back to the right side and Williams will move back to backup duty.

Ultimately, both these moves are solid in my book. We cut two of the FIVE running backs on our roster for a better running back and starting left tackle. These guys come to us free. We didn't trade any 2010 draft picks. Be happy.
If Williams continues to play the way he did on Sunday it's likely he'll continue to play there. Some in the organization said by week four he would be manning that position anyway, they're not that sold on Heyer and neither am I.

Or that Hunter the Punter has the same amount of rushing TDs as Clinton Portis.
