That's as long as he'll last anyway considering they put the weight of the world on his shoulders. We do have Ladel and Rock but barely use them anymore?
Clinton is a little dense though. He said he didn't make any mistakes. I wonder what all of those fumbled balls are called? If your reading this CP, I love you but please shut up.

Something else came to my mind. Do y'all remember all of the problems that the Giants were having? All of the mouthy little children pouting in the locker room had that team on its head. Guess what happened when they left? SUPER BOWL.
I Doubt he is reading this? he probably to busy cashing checks!!! too funny

Two things, 1) Average to Good Running Backs are a dime a dozen, 2) I like the way Portis plays, but fans go to FEDEX to see the Redskins play, not see the Clinton Portis show.

Re: More Portis

I'll just copy a post I made over 2 years ago...

"Surprise, surprise, Portis whining again.

He needs to STFU and do what he's told."

I got raked over the coals for that then, now it seems most people feel the same.

I like that (STFU). I don't text or chat and blogging is new to me. I've tried to leave behind acronyms after the military but I think I'll keep that. Here's one, CP luv ya but STFU!

And yes maybe Westbrook or AP would have taken it to the house, so theoretically this team would have scored 14-28 more points on the season. Difference enough to be a playoff team? Hardly. Difference enough to even have won 2 more games? Probably not.

Point is CP gets gang-tackled 5 to 7 yards beyond the LOS almost every time he carries the ball because our line is a joke. We're old, small and slow. Oldest line in the NFC East. Smallest line in the NFC East. And absolutely the slowest because these guys almost never block downfield. You just don't see it happen. As I've said elsewhere another scat-back won't bring shit until the line is completely replaced (w/ the possible exception of Samuels, who should probably play RT). You wanna see ugly? Put Sproles in our backfield for a whole game.

While i'm just as sick and tired of CP running his mouth as the rest, he is justified in being critical, but IMHO he's too dumb to know what deserves criticism. Is it Zorn's fault we did absolutely nothing to improve the foundation of the offense from '07 to '08, that we stayed w/ the oldest, smallest, slowest line in the division? Hardly. If CP could think through his rather juvenile emotions he'd probably be throwing Danny/Vinny under the bus and asking for a trade unless the o-line is replaced ASAP. Interesting what might happen then.

13,000,000!!!! against the cap. You guy's can say what you want, this brother isn't going anywhere! LMAO, This guy played when other players in the league was crying over a broken finger nail. So I am sure he gives a shit about what you all think of him. LMAO
He has one more year here. According to the cap sheets (and Schneed for helping me read them) Portis is cuttable after this year -- and I think he'll be gone. He talks too much, doesn't break long runs/tackles once he gets to the second level. Running back is a young mans position. Get em young, get rid of em by 28-31.

Re: More Portis

I really think they ought to look into trading Portis (if that is even feasible due to his contract). He is a baller but for a team that is looking to move in a new direction it just seems as though this guy is consistently complaining and whining. If the Redskins could acquire a 1st rounder for Portis I would think they should pull the trigger.

I fear that this leadership vacuum is going to cause the team to blow up if and when they have a losing season.
springs showed up in shape and played very well when he did.. the injuries were a bit much though

He needs to close his door and sign checks only.

Yup. And two of those checks need to go to Jordan Cross and Duke Robinson. They'll be a bit cheaper now too.

Yeah I can see some of that but it's hard for me to back up CP when he can't seem to keep his mouth shut. I can't see him throwing Danny boy under the bus. He's have to pop him off his cheecks first.
