Doughty was not impressive Sunday night but Lynch will bring back memories of Adam Archuletta. He's lost a few steps. Maybe more than a few. Plus we have no cap space for him. Our Tackles are dropping, I'd rather invest in an OT.

Not really in favor of signing Lynch, however releasing Schweigert opens up that possibility.

The general consensus (I believe) is that Archuleta was a colossal failure for us (both from a personnnel management decision, and from a performance aspect) and yet what you're basically saying is you want someone who just last year recreated the same year Archuleta suffered through with the Redskins two years ago...and Lynch is six years older than Archuleta.
Not playing devi's advocate smoot, but;
In all fairness to Lynch, he plays free safety w/the best corner tandem in the league, so his #s should be lower than Arch's, who played ss a lot here & was matched up 1 on 1 w/TE's a lot.

I think the main thing is the last you said, he's 6 years older than Arch & is definitely at the end of his career. I could only see him signing in dc if there was a serious rash of safety injuries, kinda like when we got Taylor after Daniels & Buzbee went down.

The idea of signing John Lynch is silly. We need him like we all need holes in our head. I think we will be just fine with Reed playing SS.

No Thanks to John Lynch. Let Doughty and Horton battle it out. The best man will win and the Redskins defense will be a better unit for it (not to mention having a quality backup who is young). No reason to screw up team chemistry at this point for a guy who MIGHT play 1 season.

HAIL!!

How? Lynch can't cover anyone. Belicheat will brain wash him and make him play LB, making the combined age of their LBs to be close to 200 yrs. LOL.
