I'm definitely in that camp. He's a talent evaluator with a great track record. His only shortcoming thus far has been his alcohol issues. What has anyone other coach/management position on this team shown to be reliable for yet?

Not only that, in ONE SEASON the defense already looks substantially improved. The offensive line doesn't seem like a liability. We still have some holes to fill, but I can't imagine Bruce Allen would have done half of what Scot has done in his first year. This is all without him even having his own scouts...

he does have his own scouts. after the draft he was happy with the guys the skins had before he got there and decided to keep all of them. he has the ability to fire/replace them, so at this point they are his scouts.

In 8 months, Scot has done more than anyone not named Gibbs has with this team since Snyder has taken ownership. His football decisions are strong and have made obvious improvements. He is willing to churn the roster and bring in new faces for a workout, his coaches have outperformed expectations and the team is playing the way he wants them to look which is fortunately the way many of us want to see them play and that's physical football with a strong north/south running game and a strong defense. Is the team there yet? nope. and I'm sure Scot would agree. There's work to be done but for the first time in a very long time, there is a singular focus and a purpose with this organization. My only concern is that Snyder ends up pissing him off one day and he leaves before we get there.

He added a couple and shuffled some around. And kind of demoted Scott Campbell to Director or College Scouting so he doesn't have oversight of the pro personnel (where he wasn't really involved much anyway)

Bruce Allen's only draft was significantly better than Shanny's last two.

Hard not to love Morris. He's my favorite Redskin. Going to really suck to see him leave next year.

I know RG3 got ROY in 12 and no argument on that, but Morris could have easily got it as well. 1,600 yards and 12 td's.

...but....BA also hired Scott's scouting firm that off-season if I'm correct.

Your are correct. BA was the first person to sign up for Scott's scouting service.

I really like Alfred Morris and he has been a bright spot on this team for the last 4 seasons. However this season he just seems to be more tentative and slower in his reduced playing time. Unfortunately,

I see him being traded next season for whatever the market will bear. I wish him well as he was one of the few very good players in a dismal team effort the last few years.

RB's just don't last that long in the NFL these days.

Pretty sure he's a free agent next year.

This is what I feared:

Ex-Teammate: Redskins Driving Price Down on Alfred Morris « CBS DC

WASHINGTON — Former Redskins defensive lineman Adam Carriker worries the team may be limiting Alfred Morris’s carries this season as an effort to reduce his free agency value next offseason.

Why does he think this? The same thing happened to him in 2011, he says.
