Re: Welcome to DC Chase Young!

NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reported the deal is worth $34.56 million with a $22.697 million signing bonus, per a source informed of the situation. Young receives 100 percent of his signing bonuses up front, added Rapoport.

----------------

As a refresher ... chargers-bosa hold out was bc the chargers didnt want to pay all the signing bonus up front and wanted offset language. Glad the skins didnt go the chargers route.

Reckon there's a possibility one of these could be trade bait by the time cuts come around? Ideally we keep all 7 but the right offer, say for a good OL particularly, and I'd be giving it serious consideration.

Re: Welcome to DC Chase Young!

I'd HATE to see it, but Kerrigan would be the one to trade based on age, salary, contract.

I hope he retires from here...my favorite current player.

It's funny to me to see everybody giving up on him already.

Is he off to a slow start? Definitely.

Do we also have 15 games left for him to figure it out? Also definitely.

That's supposedly healthy. Maybe we should all drink that.

I'll pour some into my kool-aid next Sunday. We will need all the help we can get against the Bills.

I'll take his motor running any day. He is a year two player consistently getting double teamed and even a triple from time to time as if he is a perennial pro bowl vet.

Yup. Why is Jon Allen getting the sacks, watch the film Chase is drawing the extra chips and doubles on that side, opening up JA to get in the backfield.

I hear what you are saying .. but dang if he is being double or triple teamed we need to find out why the other 10 guys can’t win that matchup ..

Did you see my post about Jon Allen? He already has 3 sacks on the year. Thursday, we had 4 sacks. The problem is on the explosive plays. Particularly the D Jones run, which wasn't on Chase or the Dline, but on Collins. J

To be fair, there was a 2 play sequence where Chase got burnt for a big gain - can't remember who - but the next play they ran the read option where Jones directly read Young - then fake handed the ball off to Barkley who CY99 bit hardddddd on - while Jones sprinted for a nice gain directly in the hole that CY99 vacated.

This is shit from last year that they got burnt on and now they have to learn all over to display a little patience on the hand off to figure out who's taking the ball on the RPO. Good defenses know how to play the RPO.
