Re: Redskins vs. Giants Gameday thread, Opener 2009
You can't win with Randle-El as your leading receiver. Where the hell were the plays to Kelly? At least a screen? In the pre-season, he caught a screen pass and stiff-armed his way to a first down. He's the only guy we have on the team that can do that. Why not run that play at least once? Against their second string corners? I just don't get it. A run on third and 8... 3 runs when were backed up against their own end zone. Just pathetic.

Re: Redskins vs. Giants Gameday thread, Opener 2009
look, we lost to a really good opponent and its the first game of the season. Yes we played dumb and awfully stupid at times (Campbell throwing a pick 3 yards past the line of scrimmage...DeAngelo Hall playing 20 yards from the line of scrimmage the whole game), but like I said it's the first game and a great opponent AT their place. Next week we play St. Louis who played just like they did last year. IF we lose to them then you all better hit the panick button and start listening to all the analysts saying that we're gonna suck this season. Also I feel that Moss wasn't running as hard as he could. He better forget this game and be ready to play next week. Cooley played great and looked better than witten did today. But he also didn't block someone and got an earful from Zorn. Zorn himself called some STUPID plays (three straight run plays from the giants 10 yard line...and a run on 3 & 8 after we called a timeout, and no plays towards Kelly or a screen to portis...running a trick play the second play of the game and not having randel el throw it away), but Zorn will rebound next week I'm sure to. Haynesworth plays his ass off every play and will eventually sack Eli as will Orakpo. Fletcher is a great MLB and better not get ripped off from the pro bowl voting again.

Exactly!!! Where was Kelly? Where was Thomas? Where was Fred Davis? Where was Marko Mitchell?.. Too add to that Betts looked horrible. The dropped passes and the horrible running. I am not even going to go there...lol.

Re: Redskins vs. Giants Gameday thread, Opener 2009
Speaking of El, he looked solid in the slot. Today was a VERY productive receiving day by his standards. I, too, would like to know where Kelly was. Santana's head obviously wasn't in the game, and Zorn mentioned in the presser that the Giants were constantly rolling a safety to his side to take him away.
Cooley and ARE accounted for 16 of JC's 19 completions.

o ya and laron landry was going out there today to get revenge on Brandon Jacobs, but I think Fletcher took care of that for him. Stupid penalty by LaRon hitting him way out of bounds.

Re: Redskins vs. Giants Gameday thread, Opener 2009
Yeah it makes no sense to hype them up then not use them. We basically used the same plaeyrs we used 2 years ago. Why are we not utilizing these players? Why? I know its the first agme. But did Thomas even get a ball thrown his way. I know Malcom had one catch. if moss can't get his head in the game. He needs to tak ea seat until he does.

I am just stating that none of our receivers got a chance to do anything. Moss was off his game. ARE and Cooley were the only one catch passes. Is that a good enough clarification? I was just making a point on how we under utilized our skill players. is that better? Your really nit picking dude. Women do that.

So since they are 3rd string or the 5th Wr you can't use them? Is that what your saying? I listed all the receivers and skill players dude. Your picking out one of the players and making a comment about it. If you had said -- Yeah I would like to have seen MM but he probably wasn't going to be in the game because of whatever reason. Fred Davis didn't play for this reason. That's fine. But what you said was if the other receivers couldn't get involved why did I think he would. You answering your own question. But that is not what I was saying. I will put it simply. None of our receivers/TEs really caught any passes besides Cooley & ARE. We have all these other younger and more dynamic WRs and a decent TE and we don't use them. At all. Besides Malcom with one catch. We been complaining about taller receivers and more dynamic receivers for years. We have them. We dont use them. Dag dude. Is it that time..lol Let me stop playing before you get in your feelings..lol Go find some stats. NO I let you do the nerd work. I mean leg work. Knock yourself out. Because stats are not needed for this convo. Oh let me find all the stats of teams that have used 5 receivers in a game in the history of the NFL..LMAO

Re: Redskins vs. Giants Gameday thread, Opener 2009
Redskin Insider: Huh....I think it was a good hook up at the end of the game when it was over..?
Posted at 9:03 PM ET, 09/13/2009 Campbell-to-Cooley Is Only Offensive TD Tight end Chris Cooley scored the Redskins' only offensive touchdown on a 17-yard pass from Jason Campbell with 90 seconds remaining in the game. Though the play did little more than change the final score, it is somewhat significant because Cooley scored only one touchdown a year ago, and that came on a pass from receiver Antwaan Randle El. "I think it was a good hook-up between Jason and I," Cooley said. "We noticed what coverage they were playing on that drive, and that the middle of the field was open. We felt like we were going to get that play at some point during that drive." ()()() DeAngelo Hall rates his performance: "I feel like the guy that just couldn't make a play to save my life," he said. Steinberg has the news over at the Bog.

Campbell found Kelly several times during the preseason. If he was open I'm pretty sure he would have targeted him more. I suppose you'd prefer to force throws to well covered players just because they're bigger and "more dynamic?" Please. So if guys at the top of our depth chart can't get open, you think we should just bench them for the likes of our #5 WR? Good thing you're not he coach. Cooley had 7 catches and a TD. So why are you asking for Fred Davis? You trying to set a record for lol's in a post? LOL.
