Re: The Sam Howell Thread
What’s the bigger surprise, Sam Howell playing well as a top 3rd of the league QB or the defense being a bottom five unit in the league?
Also, this draft class being a complete bust so far?

Sam shouldn't be slinging it every single game. It is ridiculous that we don't run the ball and have let our running game get this bad. If we had the semblance of a running game, we'd be in much better shape, and Sam would be playing even better. The defense is, again, a major disappointment. I don't know how JDR still has his job.

Re: The Sam Howell Thread
Forbes has potential to be good he’s just young. Also kinda hard to judge since he has maybe the worst DC in the nfl.

Re: The Sam Howell Thread
EB has Sam playing at a very high level .. even when the D knows we ain’t running ! If this trend continues know way I break that combo up .. If our D had lived up to expectations we would be sitting pretty good right now ..

JDRs coverage schemes are not suited for coverage.

Re: The Sam Howell Thread
![]() I'm also on board with hiring a defensive-minded HC next year and if they want to retain EB I'm fine with it. EB has potential if he would learn the value of the running game. I think he gave up on the run game last week because we were getting 1-2 ypc on first down. But we started having more success at the end of the game.

Re: The Sam Howell Thread
I'd keep EB as the OC and hire a real HC and DC

Re: The Sam Howell Thread
