Re: Potential GM/HC/Coaches Thread
That is my concern also .. If we are hiring Johnson because of his performance as a OC why would we not let him be the HC/OC ?? To do otherwise who will be our OC ?

Re: Potential GM/HC/Coaches Thread
A first-time HC should not be HC/OC. Being the Head Coach has a different skill set, but he should bring in an OC that he trusts.

Re: Potential GM/HC/Coaches Thread
I like the idea of a John Harbaugh/Dan Campbell type both very different styles but great leaders.

Gotta wonder how much Chris Harris contributed to Curl's success - Harris left before last year and our secondary went back to being dogshit again. I think we led the league in giving up chunk plays. Anyways that's what we have Adam Peters for - to identify where we can get players like Roquan Smith and Kyle Hamilton from - and why we need a good coaching staff that can develop them and maximize their succcess.

Re: Potential GM/HC/Coaches Thread
May have been mentioned here but Eric B also interviewed for the HC position.

Re: Potential GM/HC/Coaches Thread
I honestly don't have any strong preferences, just get the best guy for the job. I trust AP will do that.

If they hire Dan Quinn I'm all in, I trust the new Front office

Yes, this is the new thing we will have to get used to . . . trusting the GM to make good decisions. Funny how traumatized we all are from the Dan era — I find myself doubting the Ben Johnson prospect mostly because he’s the shiny new expensive thing that everyone’s talking about, exactly what Snyder was always attracted to (and usually couldn’t get). Yes, there’s the question of whether the boy genius OC (whoever) has what it takes to be HC, and then who runs the O. But is there some chance Peters and Harris don’t get this? If The Lions and Ben Johnson beat the 49ers next weekend, then I’m all in on the Johnson bandwagon.

Re: Potential GM/HC/Coaches Thread
Same here, while I don't think Quinn will be the guy, if he was I'd trust that Peters knows what he's doing. Plus Quinn is very highly regarded as a leader and defensive mind, can't hang that SB loss on him forever.

Re: Potential GM/HC/Coaches Thread
They already interviewed Raheem Morris. Tongue in check comment aside Peters is going to be methodical, which I like, he is not going to let someone in house slip away without interviewing them.
