My girlies and I were watching that as we were getting ready to go out. It's still awesome.

Actually we watched it through Movieplex On Demand. Made it nice to not have to wait through the commericals.

Normally I would agree with you but this showing on AMC had interviews with George Romero through out the broadcast.

Anyone ever watch I beleive on FX DVD on TV? they basically show the movie but during it they have a bunch interviews and behind the scences stuff. MAkes a movie you already seen a little more interesting.

They did that with Ghost Rider this weekend, very cool stuff with some of the motorcycle tricks and the effects to make the fiery skull and hands.

Re: Merged: The Movies Thread

I watched this movie called Black Dynamite starring Michael Jai White and this is HILARIOUS ! It's kind of a spoof of the old Blacksploitation action films. I swear this movie is funny. If you've ever seen one of those old films starring Fred The Hammer Williamson, or Jim Brown, or if you've seen I'm Gonna Git You Sucka you just might love this movie. OMG I'm watching it now, the kids addicted to smack tapping their arms for veins ?!?!

"Hey mama it may be bigger than you and it might be bigger than me but it ain't bigger than you and me can you dig it ? "

"Uh I think so"

A little disappointed that Red Cliff isn't coming out in our area this weekend...

Got The Goods: Live Hard, Sell Hard and Pride and Glory Friday Night from Redbox. I had seen The Goods in the theatre and thought it was good, my wife and our friends agreed. We all thought Pride and Glory was good as well.

Just saw District 9 and all I can say is "wow." Best movie I've seen in a long. The special effects are great but the actual story takes you on an emotional roller coaster and actually gets you to see humanity from a different perspective. Can't wait for the sequel.

I watched it last night too. Pretty good, but I didn't love it as much as you did. Agree that the effects were pretty awesome.

Re: Merged: The Movies Thread

What'd everyone think of Avatar? The best way I've heard it described was "Dances with Wolves with Blue People"... I thought it was a pretty good flick, but the special effects/3d was the whole reason for seeing it. The story was kinda "meh.."
