I dont know if its the talent or the coaching but the O line just isnt good enough to allow the Skins to do anything on O. If they are goinbg to avg less than 20 ppg then they just cant win. In the end its obvious that the Skins are nowhere close to an elite NFL team. |

Re: Redskins vs. Giants Gameday thread, Opener 2009
Initial thoughts:
1. I've said it a thousand times. Save your trick play for the third quarter. The Giants defensive staff probably showed them that play (from last years Eagles game) a million times. 2. Deangelo Hall is a defensive Brandon Lloyd. If there were a tree on the field, he would jump up in it to avoid physical contact. 3. What you gain in pass pro by exchanging Janson/Kendall for Heyer/Dockery, you lose in the running game. 4. The Giants hold all the time and never get called for it. 5. Chris Wilson is suppossed to catch an onside kick? 6. Smoot has a huge bullseye on his back. 7. Carlos Rogers dropped two that I saw. 8. Zorn with his play calling and Jason with his play both seem scared to death. 9. Sellers non-existent. Davis non-existent. Thomas (same reverse as last year's game, again film), Kelly one catch. 10. It's the same old shit.

I thought we played a rather vanilla game esp on offense but it is one game and we were playing one of the best in the league. No need to hit the panic button or demand anyone's heads yet.

We do need to stop with the stupid penalties that hurt us today. No sense in that.

God, I wish we had got Jay Cutler or Mark Sanchez.

I beg to differ. This Giants team was beat up, bad and we looked like crap. Ya! Next week we beat the Rams to hold onto the 29th spot on the power polls, so fucking excited!

I think the O-line gave Campbell good time to make reads today... there is a marked improvement along the trenches this season, imo.

Re: Redskins vs. Giants Gameday thread, Opener 2009
Again, it is the first game of the season no sense in stroking out yet.
We have a lot to work on, we need to play more disciplined and more focused. These things are fixable. |

Re: Redskins vs. Giants Gameday thread, Opener 2009
Dont worry, looks like we will be in a great position to draft a QB next yr. I dont care if we kill the next 3 sorry teams. We cant hang with the contenders. Looks like a .500 season again.

I don't know what to say about Zorn's post game interview.. Is he delusional?
